  1. This place was great. I ordered a skirt steak which was so juicy. At the time I went it was BYOB. I don't know if it still is.

  2. This place used to be so great. Now it's barely 1/3 full for Saturday brunch. A great place to go if you want to wait a mysteriously long time for rare steak while watching Argentinean waitresses socialize with each other and ignore your table for 30 minute stretches at a time.

And the guacamole is flavorless with barely a pinch of cilantro and ridiculously priced at $9 for a tiny cup!

  3. This is a cute little spot in WB with a great selection of Latin American dishes. Among 3 people we ordered a few dishes to share and they all turned out to be really tasty, fresh and flavorful. We had the seasonal veggies which were mostly sweet potatoes, artichokes, cauliflower and broccoli. This added a nice balance to the other things we ordered which were the Churrasco (18 oz rib eye with truffle fries) and the paella dish.

The rib eye was cooked medium rare and the perfect size to share among the three of us. It was very tender and easy to cut through. It came with a chimichurri sauce and another dip that I wasn't too sure of. They were both good for adding extra taste, but I thought the meat was juicy and flavorful enough on its own. The fries were good, but I don't remember being it truffle-ish…I think they might have forgotten that part? Luckily the meat was good so they're forgiven.

Lastly, the paella came with shrimp, calamari and octopus. The saffron rice was soft and perfectly cooked. It was served in a small cast iron pan but it turned out to be just the perfect amount for us.

Overall, everything turned out to be great including the service. The only downfall might've been the sangria which we all felt wasn't strong enough, it tasted more like just juice. I can probably order just wine next time and I'll happily come back to try more items on their menu! I would also advise making reservations, esp if you plan to come during dinner time over the weekends.

  4. 7/10: Came here on a random Sunday night. The place definitely has a great atmosphere, very rustic. There is also a garden area in the back which looked really nice. Ordered a few apps to share. The guacamole was a bit on the plain/lacking flavor side. The empanadas were delicious and the fish tacos were good but they definitely used a lot of coleslaw that overpowered the fish and also made the fish soggy as well. The service was good and the staff was helpful. I would come back to try out their entrees for sure as the place has great reviews and I really liked the vibe.

  5. Came here after a day at the BB. Walked in and out of so many places that could not accommodate a group of 6 for another 1-2hours. SO glad we stumbled upon this place! Great food & service!

I had the Aji Relleno and shared guac & chips. My friends had the Pulpo y Rusa, Empanadas, Tacos de Costilla and Tacos de Pescado. EVERYONE WAS SO HAPPY.

I can personally recommend the Aji Relleno and say that it can easily be shared! ITS HUGE (see Pic). I've had many similar dishes and this is easy top 3. It was very well done! The Aji was crisp and the inside was mushy delicious cheesy goodness!

Im not usually a betting person, but I believe the other reviewers who claim the steaks truly resemble an authentic Argentinian dish.

OHHHHH & the red sangria looked AMAZING, I regret not ordering it. Don't make the same mistake!

  6. A generous 4 stars… Closer to 3.5…

Ambiance/vibe – 5 stars, loved the rustic inside, great for cool trendy dinner.
Food – 3.5-4 stars…the menu didn't offer a huge variety between small appetizer to full on steak plate. We ordered the fish tacos and special pasta (seafood, tomato sauce, spaghetti) to share with avocado fries to start. Seafood was fresh, avocado fries were pretty good… Dipping sauce was salty. The fish tacos were great! Definitely recommend.

Service – 3 stars, while very kind and sweet… they did give us a 30 min estimate and ended up calling us for our table about 1.5 hours later.. And the waitress, as my bae so lovingly put it thought she was "on drugs". Happy drugs though… Like the kind that makes you smile and move slow…

Overall our dinner took about 1.5 hours (slow to come out for entree portion)…

However, would recommend as a place to try if you ever escape the island.

  7. TL;DR – Excellent service, delicious food, and a charismatic interior.

A friend and I dined here on a Saturday afternoon after biking over Williamsburg Bridge.  We walked in with ravenous appetites and left extremely satisfied.  To the Yelper we met at the Citi Bike station–thank you for this recommendation!  Let's be best friends.

Food – I ordered the 10 oz skirt steak with poblano puree.  The steak was high-quality, grass-fed beef and was cooked perfectly.  The steak was extremely tender and red in all the right places.  I dunked each bite into the accompanying sauces, both of which were delicious (chimichurri and another peppery sauce).  The poblano puree had a deep flavor and the consistency of mashed potatoes.

Service – Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about every item on the menu and answered our litany of questions with patience and authority.  Our waters were consistently refilled and the food came out promptly.

Ambiance – The interior feels like a divey house/bar.  Shabby chic done right…it's Brooklyn, after all.

Price – I would not describe this place as cheap, but I would say that it is worth the price.

Five stars and I would definitely come back.

  8. This is a time when I would use half stars and give them a 3.5

Food: no complaints about the food.. Got the habichi ceviche appetizer (not served in the typical ceviche style but great taste), empanadas, market fish entree which was cod and skirt steak with truffle fries on the side.. The steak was the best item, cooked to perfection… Wine was ok maybe not the best value

Service: I hate to dock points here as everyone was very friendly, but the service just was not up to par… We were told to sit anywhere and asked if there was seating in the back (quieter with a lot of light).. They said they would bring menus right to us and about 10-15 minutes later someone finally came again telling us they would bring menus and water.. No one really checked in often to see how the food was or if more wine was needed

Ambience: rustic, mood lighting, very intimate, would probably describe the atmosphere as romantic .. Backyard patio open too
