With a vast menu (is anyone getting the Fettuccine Alfredo here?) and some colorful pictures, it isn't clear what you're "supposed to" get here, although as a first-timer I figured the $6.95 Mofongo de Pernil was a safer bet than the $31.95 lobster in garlic sauce.
I didn't realize the meat would be smushed directly into the mofongo, which erased some of the pork vibes. But the mofongo was massive and delightfully garlic-laden. I also liked the gravy. I don't know what was in it, presumably meat.
The steam-table meat items up front looked good. Glancing at the menu after the fact I can't tell exactly what they were, so perhaps they were specials.
