Do you ever get the feeling when you walk into a room, food or bar establishment specifically, that you are not going to get the warm and fuzzy welcome mat? El Pesao gave me that first impression feeling and then some. As in all the counter dwellers looking up and at the door in concert when I walked in, followed my some murmuring and a return to their plates and the counter lady was even more standoffish. On to the food, I ordered tripe yucca, beans and some chicken. The tripe was under the beans and the chicken was the parts you would serve the unwelcome dinner guest. Overall, the chicken was just boring with respect to flavor, the yucca was under cooked and has the culinary texture of a tree root and how bad can you really mess up beans.
