I am so so so glad this place appeared near me one day- My husband? he loves Salvadorian style food. We had no idea we would find the real deal near home. Its rare around here we have to travel for it usually. Literally we order from this place twice a week. Scared of Salvadorian food because you never ate it in your life? Let me help you out. First off, it is generally not spicy; remember this is NOT Mexican food to those of you who think all Spanish food is Mexican food aka tacos….but they do have them on the menu and they ARE GREAT. AUTHENTIC. Taco bell is nearby if you cant handle the real. Go try the grilled chicken plate, it is HUGE and only about 12 bux. It has salad, rice, avocado, pico de guyo and a ton of delicious moist grilled chicken. Want to try something new that rivals our beloved and highly coveted pizza? Ask for the national food of el salvador the infamous "Papusa". Essentially it is a corn tortilla stuffed with mozzarella and a blend of beans and/or meat. Grilled. with a pickled cabbage salad on top. Tell them you want to have a "mixed papusa" (get your feet wet) Think pizza, inside out. best thing EVER. Did I mention all of the portions are enormous and so inexpensive I am beside myself? We split plates and still have left over. The place is small, sort of Chinese takeout sized with a few tables. Parking is no problem and they are really nice. Do stress the menu is in Spanish and english so go try it out. Your kicking butt el Primo do not change a thing.
