I had to stay in Newark recently for one night on a business trip and I asked the Marriott if any pizza places delivered and they gave me a menu to Eli's Pizza and Pasta. Since I had a car, I decided to drive there. I have to say, this place has awesome food. The homemade tomato sauce is really good, the staff is friendly, and the value for the money is unreal. I got rigatoni, a bottle of water, garlic bread, and a salad for $7.75. You can't beat the price. And all the food was great, the garlic bread was awesome, the tomato sauce was awesome and they didn't overcook the pasta.

However, if you are looking for a meal while travelling in the Newark area, Eli's is the place to go. Affordable, great food, and a lot of food for the money.
The hotel I was staying at near EWR suggested this place. The hotel must get a commission!
I was greeted at the counter, just stared at until I placed my order. The clerk only told me the price, no thank you or even a hint of courtesy. I should have walked out but was starved and the reviews said the pizza was good.
It is good if soggy limp crust and tasteless topping are your thing. A wasted $15.00
One thing I LOVE about this place is the record-fast delivery. I work nearby over in Newark and it's always a matter of minutes before I get my food – really helps to be a regular here because they definitely put the extra effort in to keep you pleased.
I always look here for pizza and pasta – both are solid. Not the best you'll ever have, but solid. Prices aren't bad, and like I said before, delivery is super reliable if you happen to work in the area.
