  1. Elsewhere Espresso is a small and relaxing coffeeshop to be in when you need a midday pick-me-up. Their iced peach tea was just that for me: I felt energized and refreshed after drinking it, and I like that they had a bench as extra seating inside, too.

The server was kind enough to give me a spoon for outside food that I had brought in and wanted to eat inside the cafe.

There isn't too much seating inside here: along with the bench, there are three square tables that sit 2-3 people each. That's why Elsewhere Espresso isn't ideal for sitting down for long periods of time: it strikes me more as a takeout place, or a spot to briefly sit and read before heading out to continue on with your day.

  2. Very excellent. I came on a saturday afternoon and it was beyond silent. The music is on super low and everyone seemed deep in…checking emails and answering iMessages: so seems to be okay for studying, at least at the time.

all this aside, very good coffee. I am pleased.

  3. Nice open atmosphere in the summer in a quiet neighborhood of nyc. Went there at 8 in the morning and still managed to get my morning coffee fix fast unlike at Starbucks and whatever chain coffee stores.  Go when Frankie works there (mornings on Sunday and Wednesdays + afternoon on Fridays) because she makes a really good espresso!  I'd be down to go again to try out some other drinks by her!

  4. I had an iced latte with the perfect proportion of espresso and milk. It wasn't watered down, either.

The ambiance is seriously lacking, though. Not much of a hang out place.

  5. Spacious, chill coffee shop with a decent amount of seating, various options (I like the pour over). The next best option from Abraco when it's cold outside!

  6. Nice local coffee shop near NYU Tisch with great coffee and service. I was visiting NY and waiting while my daughter did a dance audition. They offer pour overs, which I like because you can pick your coffee variety and it's freshly made. They offer a nice selection. I had an Ethiopian and a Sumatran. Both were delicious and made to the right strength, which is to say strong but not muddy. I also had a blueberry scone. It was small and not very sweet, which is actually the way I like a scone. The barista was very friendly. She brought my coffee to my table and was happy to chat. They have free wifi. It's not a big place but comfortable. There isn't a lot of seating so not sure how crowded it gets. It was exactly the place I wanted to relax on a Sat morning with a really good cup of coffee.

  7. Really really like this coffeeshop.  It just so happens that it's across the street from my guitar teacher.  How convenient!  Of late, I've taken to stopping in here for an hour before a lesson, to have a sip of cold brew & flip some pages of my latest volume.

What to expect?  Super duper calafragalistically excellent coffee.  What else?  Really really friendly people.  I don't know if it's cause it's so small or out of the way, but i feel almost like I'm in Brooklyn!  Dogs under the tables, friendly staff smiling, and asking you how you're doing…

I just love it everytime I stop in.  🙂

  8. LOVE THEIR AMERICANO!!

Location: East village, I am here exploring you, starting from coffee shops. Elsewhere espresso is a great traditional coffee shop. Not fancy like coffee project, not commercial like beans, Elsewhere espresso is just being a legit place for a coffee break. They have wifi inside, and some tables for people to sit and chat and simply drink good coffee.

they also offer pastries for customers to have a quick bite.
    Why not!

Coffee: love their americano, very strong, very delicious, very wanna try twice in a day.

Service: the girl is definily moaning against Monday since she's not smiling to anyone and gives me a feeling of this-is-monday-and-i-am-angry face.

    it's okay.
    I feel ya

Price: compared to west village, east village coffee shop is cheap, cheap in a good way.

    Thanks

overall: I forgot to mention that their chairs are extremely uncomfy but I will be back. The americano is too good to not come back.
