  1. Jackson Height's finally gets their own version of a Shake Shack! I was told by someone that they were worthy of trying but I was hesitant because I'm not a fan of artisan/overpriced burgers unless they're called Shake Shack. However, they aren't that expensive so that was a nice surprise.

I ordered their Ori Emo burger which is equivalent to a cheeseburger and my boyfriend ordered their OMG burger and we shared an order of plain fries. It didn't take long for our food to arrive which is always a plus. They offer an array of sauces but the best sauce is their pink sauce (not the traditional fry sauce, its like fry with some extra zing – must try!). The buns to their burgers are a BUTTERY GOODNESS. The meat was perfectly cooked to temperature and it wasn't overloaded with cheese where it was oozing from the sides – hate that. The only downside is that they use shredded lettuce as opposed to a whole leaf but I can move past that.

Its a very easy place to eat. No frills good burgers joint. I am happy to have finally stopped in. I will definitely be back for more and also for some take out/delivery.

Happy to have this this new edition to Jackson Heights.

  2. Haven't been in this area for the longest time so seeing this store was pretty new to me. Walked by Emoji Burger during my coffee run — which was a perfect timing since i was just thinking about lunch.

I don't eat beef so I was bummed after seeing that majority of the burgers has beef in them. As I took a better look at the menu, I realized that there was a turkey and a veggie option for burgers. Not a lot to choose from, but hey beggars can't be choosers. Since I'm not all that into veggie, I opt for the turkey burger (Hands Up Burger: turkey, feta cheese, guacamole, onion, tomatoes, mix green and cilantro aioli – $6.75) & Sweet Potato Fries – $4.75.

We didn't want to dine in so we called in prior to order for pick up. The place sure is small and there's just enough space to walk in to pay. We would have definitely been in the way of patrons and staff if we were hanging around waiting for the food.

The fries was good & my turkey burger was really delicious — The buns are so soft & the turkey was cooked right. The different sauces on the side gives the food an extra kick so don't forget to give those a try. I would come back for more turkey burger.

  3. Had high hopes. Friendly staff! Their table sauces are good: cilantro sauce, chipotle and emoji sauce. I ordered the yummy burger medium. The disclaimer on menu says all burgers cooked medium unless ordered differently. Check out the pictures. That's raw: medium is pink and cooked. This still had the glossy red veiny look. 🙁 my hubby double whammy was delicious —it was cooked well done. Emo fries is good. Huge portion. Unfortunately won't try again.

  4. This is a new burger spot in the JH area and it's from the same people who do Just Made 4 U, a couple of stores down. The place is on the small, cramped side, but they make do. Overall, a decent meal but there could be tweaks. Also, the table side green sauce is the way to go but it was pretty garlicky aka leaves you with the stank breath. lol

    The food:

Thums Up- Beef, Mozzarella cheese, smoked ham, grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomato, emoji aioli. Yes, there is no letter "B" in the name. The burger was pretty good, I have had my fair share of Spanish burgers and the one here was respectable. The best way to put it, It kinda tastes like a cheeseburger with grilled pineapple and Mac sauce. Sounds weird but tasty. I did have an issue with the bread, it was nice and squishy but had a very came out of the microwave feel. yelp.com/user_local_phot…

Pio Fries- Mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken, scallion, cilantro aioli, emoji aioli. Overall, I thought this was just OK, I think I would have been better off just doing the regular fries. The fries as a whole were salty. The cheese was melted but in a weird, you can easily peel it off in one piece, weird. The chicken was shredded chicken breast and was kinda plain and salty at the same time. The fries were good, they kinda reminded me of double cooked Belgian fries. yelp.com/user_local_phot…

  5. Good food. Came here on opening day after watching the store from across the street in my apartment for months before they opened. The deli that was here before was a terrible shame. The owner of Emoji burger looked familiar, and for good reason because he is the same owner from the other restaurant down the block called Just made 4 U. Good food so far, I hope it stays. Kinda like the shake shack of JH.

  6. This place just recently opened up nearby.  I had to try this burger, and it was so good.  I especially love the beef they used in their burger.  It was fresh and tasty. Did I mention it was oily?  This is not for the health conscious.  I love the bread they chose for my burger.  Just a nice combination! I was not a big fan of the bacon fries–heard rave reviews courtesy of Yelp, of course!  I like more potato content (squishiness?) and less crispiness (crunchiness) in my fries.  Anyway, I would still go back to try the other burgers.  🙂
