Pretty good liquor store with a funny tiny Asian lady manning the register. The place is just non-descriptly labeled WINE LIQUORS, but the business permit inside says Evergreen. Tons of wines and booze available. Everything from bottomest of the bottom to the toppest of the top shelf. Prices aren't bad either, considering the area.
when you need to re-up your hard liquor during a football palooza on a chilly Sunday by the Columbia St Waterfront, where do you go? EVERGREEN Liquor Store.
definitely a neighborhood store reflective of this part of Brooklyn–residential. i like. don't be everGreen with envy…just stop by in the summer, pick up some booze, and bbq by the water! perfection.
the store doesn't have a sign that says EVERGREEN but it does have a GIANT sign that says "LIQUOR" so the store owners have their priorities straight lol.
we ran outta booze during the other Dirty Birds thrashing of the Giants and sought insober provisions aka whiskey and such.
the store itself is well-lit and pretty huge. it stretches waaaaaay back with floor to ceiling shelves of wines, liquors, and other spirits etc. it seems well-organized and clean. the huge aisles make it easy to walk around with your bottles upon bottles without knocking into another customer or knocking over some bottle of spirits. i like that everything is not all cramped. hurrah for good planogramming of retail square footage!
the staff seems very kind and have a competent level of knowledge of booze varieties. they seemed fine with wandering around the store while my cohorts made purchases.
drops mic bc i might be over the legal limit! seewhatididthere i out. zzzz
