Everyman Espresso
“And to boot they've been consistent for several years so I was really happy to see them expand to Soho near Canal.”
“The staff is wonderful, Sam, Corey, Ben, Erica, the works, y'all are great, keep slinging that delicious counter culture so well, and I'll keep visiting every time I'm in the neighborhood!”
“I had an East Village Special recently, which if I remember correctly, is made with espresso, tiki bitters, lemon, and some kind of soda.”

Excellent espresso drinks !! Extremely friendly staff and barista. They have almond and soy milk non dairy options for extra 50cents.
My almond latte was delicious, creamy and smooth. It tasted great without adding any extra sugar which is how I know it is good coffee.
Small selection of pastries and limited seating but great place to grab a nice coffee to go.
I will definitely return when back in the area.

Four Stars
In small shop on W Broadway just north of Canal, Everyman Espresso is a warm and inviting place. The espresso machine is the focal point of the space. The multicolor tile back splash is interesting combination of crimson, burnt sienna, light grey, white, black, and grey blue (Pantone 304 C ish). They have four seating areas. A bench below each store front, a triangular shaped bench opposite to the service station and one triangle shaped table with three stools. Not too much seating but it was pretty uncrowded right now.
I had a cortado ($4.5) which came in a Gibraltar glass with perfect amount of foamed milk. The espresso was nutty with an almost herbaceous quality. It was delightfully bitter with a smooth finish.
Overall, a quiet place place to talk, work, and/or chill out.
Excellent espresso. The lattes are solid and the chai is a highlight, but the croissants are a little less flaky than I would have liked. Definitely a price premium that makes this really a 3.5.
A cute little coffee shop in the Tribeca area, and one of very few options. I stopped by because I was about an hour early for dinner reservations, and needed a warm place to huddle with my book.
The first thing I noticed was the lack of a menu. What. I usually get the same no matter where I go (house coffee, either black or with a splash of milk), but I would have liked to see the options. I would have also liked to see the price of the different drinks.
I got coffee with milk to stay, and for a 6oz mug, it was $3. Whew. The barista offered refills, but I don't know if this was complementary or if it would cost me an additional buck or two. I didn't stay long enough to find out.
The acoustics of the place are not conducive to a quiet study or even reading session – if your reading requires some focus. There were two girls sitting across the room from me and I could pretty much hear their conversation as if I'd been sitting right next to them. Even the quiet chatter of the baristas seemed weirdly amplified. Maybe it's the wooden paneling…
Also, although there is a lot of bench seating along the walls, there is only one shared table in the back that fits 5-6 people. So keep this in mind if you are looking for a place to meet with friends. I enjoyed sitting in the window with my legs stretched out and my back against a column, but I was really only okay with the seating arrangement because I was flying solo. Otherwise, it would have been a tight squeeze.
This is arguably the best espresso in the entire area and likely one of the top 10 or 20 coffee shops in all of NYC. They also now sell Underwest Donuts, the tastiest cake donuts in the city imo, which absolutely puts them in 5-star territory.
Just FYI there is no visible menu here but you can ask for one while you are in line and they will let you see it. The menu is actually quite extensive so it is worth a look. Also, they can make all their drinks with almond milk.
I have been stopping by here for a while now and while the location is a little out of the way for me, I am always really happy when I do. I just find the heavily curated coffee varieties (try Hologram if they have it) are outstanding and the barristas here are hardcore.
While I was waiting in line today some guy who won a barrista competition came in for a drink and started talking shop with the guys behind the counter. I only know this bc people kept talking about his victory. And I have to say that any place that has award-winning coffee freaks coming in on the reg is a place that probably has amazing espresso.
And they really do. Btw Hologram is the least acidic variety I have ever tried here and I really hope they have it again when I come by next. Oh, and get the donuts! Underwest is so amazing but they are in a really out of the way spot on 12th ave. This is the only coffee shop I know of that sells them.
A-OK. THe coffee will hit the spot when you're in a desperate need of a caffeine fix but it's not the best coffee that I've had.
They add the milk and sugar for your behind the counter so there's no messy condiments bar. However, this can make the line get quite long since they can't just churn out coffee at the register.
The space is pretty small – but there are a few tables to sit at. When I went, the music was pretty loud so not really conductive for work or a chat with whoever you're with.
Very friendly atmosphere, great espresso drinks and a few tables (no bathrooms tho)! The space is small, but quaint. As soon as I walked in, the bearded barista smiled and welcomed me in. This small personal welcome was awesome, despite the store being busy. I immediately felt like I walked into a friend's house.
I ordered a cortado which was made (with a beautiful heart) almost as quickly as it was devoured. The coffee blend was nice and strong. Definitely a top-notch espresso drink.
I sat at the table for about ten minutes before leaving and enjoyed my stop into this great NYC-espresso shop.
In summary: great friendly service, delicious coffee blend, small space (no bathrooms) and reasonable prices.
Batista was extremely friendly. Espresso was good. Shop was decorated well. Will stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood.
