  1. I actually really like this place. I bought one of their non dairy smoothies. It was pineapple, cucumber, mint and tea. The smoothie was quickly made by the staff and they were all very kind. The smoothie itself was great. Each thing didn't overpower the smoothie and all combined very well. I usually have a problem with tasting chucks of stuff in my smoothies but these guys did a great job with preventing that. Definitely coming back.

  2. I would have to say, I'm a fan on EXKi. It's a great place to come for lunch or to get some work done. I absolutely love their healthy yet tasteful options, their full coffee bar, and the atmosphere. For a person with a no-lactose diet, they have a ton of vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options. Big plus.

On the down side…I really couldn't get over how expensive everything was. I got the sweet potato soup, mainly because it tasted good, but that was the lowest cost item I could find ($5 for a small). Their hot sandwiches, which looked really good, were $8 for HALF a sandwich. And a small salad could cost almost $11. They're all delicious and healthy, but still a little pricey.

What makes up for the price is the atmosphere of the place. They have a ton of comfy seating. Their chairs are very low–just as a warning to tall people. Other than that, I would definitely go again.

  3. I went there yesterday with a friend and we arrived at about 1:15 p.m.  Although it was still lunch hour and most of the tables were taken, we were able to get a table because it's quite a good-sized place.  The only problem is that most of the tables – including the one where we sat – have *very* low chairs.  Unlike my friend, I'm a little tall and therefore the chair was really uncomfortable; I literally had to sit kind of sideways, so I could stick my legs out from the table.  Eventually the place nearly cleared out, so we were able to move to one of the tables in the back (where the chairs are a normal height).  A nice aspect was that we were able to stay there for about 2 1/2 hours (truthfully, we could have stayed even longer) because most of the customers apparently returned to work.  The interior is very spacious, plus it also has floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides and that makes it really attractive.

All of the people working there were *super*-friendly.  Another positive thing was the cleanliness, including the restroom.

I got the large size of the carrot ginger soup and it was much more filling than I'd expected (also delicious, although the ginger was very spicy [undoubtedly that wouldn't be a problem for most people, but I'm very sensitive to spicy foods]).  It was $5.90 plus tax, which was very reasonable for the generous serving.  Later I got a large cup of their drip coffee ($2.25 plus tax) and the taste was surprisingly mediocre – but nevertheless, I really liked EXKi and I look forward to returning.

  4. This is the way food should always be. Happened to be passing by earlier this week and it was so cold, so I stopped in for a hot soup. Well priced and very good. Not too salty. I will definitely be back when I have more time for a bigger meal – sandwich.
