  1. Good cafe in the area. The people are nice and definitely from Bushwick.

    Support a local business.

    And there's wifi

  2. These people are thieves! I was a very happy regular at a different coffee shop and then these assholes stole me!! Terrible!
If the coffee here was *meh*, I'd likely still take all my breaks here. The people working here are just too wonderful. They make me feel at home, in the true sense of the saying. It's really rare in New York for people to give off that familial vibe.
Thank the gods their coffee is also delicious.

  3. Sick place. I seek coffee every hour of the day and this place more than satisfied my desires.

Vast menu and the cold brew is just mad, you HAVE to try.

If you're a hip hop head (like moi) get yourself in there. The art and music are dope and the staff are more than friendly. Great pricing and you'll leave buzzing…

  4. Location: Somewhere in Bushwick. I know, this is super helpful if you're visiting from out of town (:-o

The place: Great little coffee shop with an AMAZING terrace out back. They've got some street out painted by local artists, which is cool. Definitely sit outside if there's room.

The goods: I ordered a Cortado and it was perfect. I forgot to ask them which beans they use, but the Cortado had just the right level of bitterness (i.e. not too bitter at all!) and a semi-chocolatey finish. My buddy had a giant chocolate donut. It was good but I felt like I'd had better.

Service: Good. Not super enthusiastic, but friendly.

Price point: I think the Cortado was about $3 and so was the donut.

This is a great place to get a good cup of coffee – third wave all the way!

  5. Very cool spot. Came across this place after dropping off my bike down the road for a fix. I wanted donuts and to my surprise, they sell Dough donuts ($2.50 each) and I'm all for it. They have a small but delicious sandwich menu and a fairly standard coffee menu. I got the cafe au lait donut (highly recommended if you like crumbly coffee things) and my friend got the hibiscus donut (highly recommended if you like sweetness with a bit of tartiness). The dude behind the counter is friendly and helpful when it came to menu items and let my friend and I sample some cold brew. The place is really relaxed and has a decent sized backyard that's next to some place with a live dj in the back spinning some electronic beats if that's what you're into.

All in all, this is a great place to grab coffee and a quick bite to eat with a couple friends and just relax. Also, free wifi and no card minimum!

  6. Watch out now! New café has recently opened up on Central Avenue!
Express Yourself is pretty cool. I love the artwork and the owner seems really chill too. I also love the brick and wood accents.

Their drink menu is simple, yet pro. The prices are decent.
The coffee has great chocolate undertones, you'll love it.

Pastry/sweets selection is subpar right now, but they're working on it!
Also…check this…the internet is choice, they've got Fios! If I lived in the area, I'd probably stop in regularly to get work done.

The seating is a bit interesting. They've got two huge (dining room style) tables, not many cozy options…but maybe that's to get people in and out?

I'll definitely check it out again when I'm in the area. You should do the same!

#ProTip — No credit card minimum!

  7. This is a really cute, good vibe coffee shop find in the middle of Bushwick. I came out here for lunch and needed a quick cup of coffee and found this place on my CUPS app! Good strong coffee and nice staff!

  8. I really like this place. Super chill and friendly workers who are great at there job. No card minimum which is nice. Oh and there are a lot of coffee shops around here serving iced coffee that leave much to be desired.  This place has one of the best in these few blocks.
