Food: Overall, above average tasting anju and fairly priced. Jjoo sam jjoo sam had alot of onions and squid, I couldn't get much pork, but my girl said all she got was the pork. Either way, it's all good, heavily sauced but not super salty and slightly spicy. Fried chicken marinated in red wine sauce was stronger of the two dishes. Fried well and both dark and white meats were tender. Appetizer was tuna tataki layered onto home made chips and greens. Presentation was nice and taste was on par with the looks. Ice cream for dessert was served free of charge and had a interesting twist, as frozen watermelon was somehow mixed in.
Drink: Coors Light and Bud served in 1000, 2000, and 3000cc pitchers. As seen, poor ass selection.
Service: Pretty good service. Stood out compared to the usual Korean bars. Pretty attentive to the little things, took our dirty napkins and provided new ones. Spoke English in addition to Korean. Most importantly they left us alone to watch the Yanks whoop the geographically challenged Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's ass.
Crowd/Ambiance: Mostly fobs. They probably thought I was crazy gettin this worked up about baseball. Don't be fooled with the execution and planning of the exterior facade. The row of bars along 162nd St (btwn Sanford and Northern) all look like happy ending joints with the blacked out windows and neon sings. They either all cheaped out and went to the worst designer possible or they thought cheap is tasteful. Interior is your typical lounge layout. Dimly lit, wooden tables, and large, heavy leather seats. Do not plan to rearrange any furniture there unless you like herniated discs. Bathroom is large and clean.
