Such a fun, relaxed but beautiful place to eat and hang out with friends ! We came here on a Monday night the inside wasn't packed just the outside since it was a hot night but there was still a DJ to entertain us with great music. The staff was friendly and attentive.
The food is delicious !
We ordered lamb kebab
Oysters
Chicken wings
Enough for about 8 of us. Fresh food. The all white and silver decor was gorgeous. The staff is very accommodating and the drinks were really good. We saw tables that ordered hookah, we didn't but next time we might just do so!
Our night here was def enjoyable. Everyone was laid back and looked like they were having a good time and relaxing. Not a pretentious place as I saw people kick back in the couches and enjoy the view. Lol.
When I came across Falada Lounge, I was very excited to head inside since the décor of the place is beautiful, its very upscale with white couches leather couches and glass tables and chairs, crystal chandeliers, funky mirrors, newly renovated hard wooden floors, neon dj booth with flashing lights
and it totally doesn't feel like your in Brooklyn , especially that its out by the water front with outdoor seating where you can grab a drink and smoke some hookah
despite the great atmosphere and vibe of this place, there are a few quirks that hold me back from giving this place 4 stars:
the dance floor of this place is really small, and despite the fact that there was decent music, from rap to house music and some Russian songs here and there, he didn't make the effort to interact with the crowd and get the music pumping, normally a lounge would be laid back, but if they opened up more space to create a dancefloor and maybe take requests from the customers, the place would be a little more lively, this was on a Friday so I was a bit surprised
majority of the staff we spoke too didn't speak the best of English since most of them are Russian, this may be fine for Russian customers, but what about the rest
the service was very slow, which I could understand for a Friday its expected, but to ask for a bread basket with my salad over 3 times, and they thought I said "bloody mary" instead of bread, how do you even confuse the two?
I didn't even get my bread basket until the end of the night when my bill came
the menu comes off as being French and European, with fancy duck and seafood salads to steak salads and pastas, meat dishes with potatoes or veggies, and fish dishes, I like the variety on the menu, but I don't like the prices. the cheapest salad they had was 13 dollars, while the rest were almost 20 dollars. the entrees also weren't cheap, were they ranged from 16-28 or even more.
since I think steak is good on anything, I decided to go with the ribeye salad, while the portion was at least large enough for two with a good amount of green, they threw in maybe two lousy fried cheese balls and very tiny and thin pieces of steak, for 20 dollars I would of expected more meat, because some people would rather eat a salad as an entrée
the salad was also a bit bland too, not enough dressing or seasoning on the meat, it could of used more vegetables or at least throw in some croutons.
I have yet to try the dessert or hookah menu in this place, from my other friends I heard the hookah is decent , but regular is 25 and any additional options raise the price to 30-35
what I admire the most about this place would be the drinks, they have an excellent selection of wines , whiskeys, tequilas and very unique cocktails. I like how for each cocktail they ask what brand of vodka you want with no extra charge if you choose one over the other, some other places throw in some cheap liquor giving it a nasty taste, my friend said her cranberry vodka was perfect.
another thing I noticed was that there is only one bathroom stall, and for a place like this they should have at least two or three since it becomes crowded very quickly. the bathroom itself is new but not taken care of, at some point they ran out of toilet paper and didn't have any extra rolls around nor did anyone replace them until we brought it to the staff members attention.
overall I would come back here since its very inviting for the summer, but I would only go for hookah or drinks, I think the food , entertainment and service has some room for improvement.
We stopped in briefly last Sunday after having dinner near by. It was pretty empty but there were a few people sitting outside. The front doors were open so there was a nice open air feeling. We sat at the bar and were quickly approached by the bartender. He was friendly and attentive. There was a big screen in back playing music videos while music was playing. The music added to the relaxed Sunday afternoon vibe.
There is an extensive drink menu that includes wines, cocktails, shooters, etc. The list can get pricey but there some middle of the road offers as well. If you're into hookah you can also find that on the menu as well.
I had 2 martinis. I don't remember what the 1st one was but I know the 2nd was the French Martini. It was by far one of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had! We didn't get a chance to try any food since we had already eaten; however, I'd definitely return to check out their food menu and have another French Martini!
