My girl and I ordered the vegetable wrap & colossal burger with fries ($25). She did not enjoy the wrap at all. it seemed to be a little greasey. The burger didn't taste good either. The meat had no flavoring. Later we both ended up with stomach pains…yeah my toilet will never forgive this place….
Since my last review Ive been back. The website is very different from what you get when you arrive. The website and the new modern awning make it appear that this place has gone a little bit more upscale. It hasnt. Its just a basic diner. The service was great and the food was typical diner food… but the website looks like this place has renovated. If they did… it doesnt look much different from my last trip here.
Fame isn't really a Coffee Shop, its a Diner (I think I remember Diner being on the outside of the place not Coffee Shop but I could be wrong). It's a clean nice diner in the middle of Maspeth across the street from CVS on Grand Ave, just off the LIE. Prices are cheap, the menu is absolutely huge and I've never had anything bad here. There isn't anything that I've had here that was the best I've ever had but I've never had any complaints either. There really isn't more to say than it's a nice classic diner to have a good meal cheap.
Typical diner located on Grand Ave in Queens. Staff is attentive and quick. Had the Turkey club, which was nice with crisp bacon. Fiance had an Omelette and hash browns. Will have to go there a few more times to see if this place gets bumped up to 4 stars. They do plenty of specials.
Everything I've ever gotten from here has been bad. Fries, bagels, coleslaw, onion rings. There's no reason for a diner to screw up standard diner food.
