Went here for the first time with the family. They have use a free bottle of bbq famous Dave's bbq sauce. We ordered the basket for two which includes ribs, corn, corn bread, chicken, and briskets. The basket was fine for what it offers. The pricing is a bit high for what it offers but other than that it's fine.
YUMMM!
I love barbecue so it's not a surprise that Famous Dave is one of my favorite choices. The Feast for Two comes with plenty of food to feed two hungry stomachs.
Brisket ribs chicken corn bread baked beans coleslaw and broccoli was on the menu for $38. You can't beat that!
The chicken was moist and had a excellent spicy rub. The brisket was done well and rich in flavor. The ribs were exquisite, crispy skin, moist with enough fat to keep in rich flavor. The baked beans were off the hook, included charred hot dog in the beans with a little hot spice. Coleslaw was just right, not too much mayo. Broccoli was steamed to perfection. You can't go wrong at Famous Daves our bartender was very eager to keep our drinks flowing and assist us.
I will be coming back
PS you must try the fried catfish fingers
Try the Beef Brisket! Amazing and amazing customer service! What is not to love
Salty, salty, salty! We stopped in at Famous Dave's for a BBQ lunch after a night of too much imbibing. Our waiter, Famous Chris, was excellent – knew the menu and offered us complimentary chips when he saw us sampling the sauces. Starting with the chips, though, everything was just so salty! I got the lunch platter of ribs, brisket, and beans. The brisket was like a salt lick, although super tender. The ribs, likewise, fell off the bone. I wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning they put in their beans, but the corn muffin was tasty. I don't think I'd try this chain again.
Had the feast for two which is the barbecue chicken, smoked ribs, choice of 3rd meat (chopped pork or brisket beef or hollanaise chicken). We chose brisket and the side orders of cole slaw, beans which we switched it to garlic red skin mashed potato, corn on the cob, fries, corn bread.
Overall, our first experience was pleasant. The store manager gave us a bottle of their "rich and sassy" famous dave's bbq sauce as a gift for 1st timers. Nice! Server was nice too. He took his time explaining the menu and advised us to try the feast for 2 since it was out 1st time. We're glad to take his advice since we get to try a little of everything. The kids were happy with their kids meal too.
Their smoked ribs and cole slaw is yummy! We will definitely come back when we are in the area. I totally recommend this place for bbq lovers.
Good size portions of BBQ brisket, ribs, chicken, etc. Love the variety of sauces too!
