Honestly I don't understand what the fuss is about. Mediocre pizza and calzones. Not sure how this chain does as well as it does across the city. There's plenty of local pizza chains that have better food and better prices. Guess this does in a pinch though.
Good quality New York pizza. Delivery is quick and it's easy to pick up a slice fast. The place itself is not much but it's adequate and clean. The pizza is thin crust and quite tasty, it's NYC prices but not to much. They have some other thirds other than pizza but I haven't had those so I cannot speak to them. Bottom line is very good pizza.
Stick to the simplest of items on the menu. Slices of cheese pizza etc… Staff are lovely and efficient. Not a lot of choice around the area for a quick snack with picky kids.
Below average NYC pizza compared to similarly priced competition. It is $2.75 for a plain cheese slice and $3.50 for a one topping slice. The slices here are smaller and thinner with less sauce and cheese than similar places. Also, they do not taste too good either – something about the sauce tastes off.
Ordered garlic knots and a pepperoni Stromboli for myself. Finished it all! I'm a light eater. This is some great Italian food and was a perfect end to my New York visit.
Just a fantastic slice of quality pizza. One of the few pizza spots that are great around this year. Service is good and prompt as well. I always get two plain slices once a week, and every time it's great. Just wanted to give them props on here, since they seem like they are doing a great job. Keep up the work. And if anyone is around for the first time in this location. Highly recommend it!!
Famous Famiglia Pizzeria is a typical NYC pizza joint. I have only had pizza there so I can't comment on the other foods they offer.
Pros:
The pizza is delicious
The staff is friendly and always smiling when you go in
The pizza is reasonably priced
Depending on the time of day they will make you a customized pizza if they are out the kind you want
Cons:
Beverages are pricey compared to the corner stores surrounding the pizza place
There is limited sitting (roughly 8 tables and 4 seats at the window)
The restaurant could use a good sweeping
Your standard NY counter-service pizza place. The crust is a little thicker and squishier than my ideal, but if you come when a plain pie has just come out of the oven, you won't be disappointed. You may be disappointed, as I was the last time I stopped in, if you choose a pie with lots of toppings that's been sitting out for who knows how long. It had breaded chicken strips and broccoli on it, and even though they heated it, it was not nearly warm enough, and just didn't taste much like pizza. Stick with the plain, or maybe the pepperoni, and only if it's fresh out of the oven.
