I swung by this place on my way to my hotel. I wanted something quick, inexpensive, and delicious.
I ordered one pepperoni cheese pizza. It was an authentic NY Style pizza, cooked in a real oven, with real cheese, and sauce. A+
Meh. Pizza is pizza is pizza. I was hoping to try some kind of pizza in NYC that would forever change the way I viewed pizza, kind of the way my bagel life has been changed eternally. Unfortunately, the pizza game is just about as good in Dallas as it is in NYC, at least at this place. I had the olive and mushroom which was pretty tasty and it came to me hot and fresh. Can't complain about that. The seating is sparse at lunch and everyone has to sit really close together. I almost gave this place 3 stars but it wasn't very clean and I just can't think of a reason why it deserves 3. I would definitely eat pizza in Little Italy the next time.
They're efficient here, but nothing special going on. Not a fan of NYC pizza and this visit didn't change anything. After ordering by telling anyone behind the counter what you want, they place your pizza in the oven to heat it up. Then call you back to get it. Several options to choose from. Slice of pizza + drink were $8. Minimum purchase with card is $10, but of course there is an ATM with a fee 5 feet away.

Four Stars
The slices are a bit more expense than the normal dollar slice but there were bigger. I had a pepperoni $3.5 and cheese $2.75. The crust was thin with a bit of crunch. The sauce was sweet and delicious. The cheese was plentiful and melted. The slices were extremely hot.
Ordered tomato, basil, mozzarella- the toppings literally slid off the slice. The remaining piece was a brick. Expensive $4 slice of brick.
Lunch time summons for something quick, cheap and nearby. Cold weather + lack of time hinders me from trekking long distances. I ended up with the "special slice" of bacon, green peppers, cheese for $4.50. The pizza was MEH in quality to get the job done as the in-between to fill the temporary void until dinner. Service is okay. The line to take orders was rather chaos with too many servers behind the counter. Seating is available and tables are filled with debris and rubbish as patrons do not clean after themselves.
Extremely overpriced for MEH to okay quality.
Each year visiting NYC from Australia, we try and drop in here (formally Star Pizza) and has NEVER let us down. The staff are always helpful, the pizzas are unbelievably delicious and is always worth the wait to visit. The only difference is that it has seemed to get busier. Everyone must be catching on to this little hidden treasure.
Very basic place, very friendly staff, okay pizza. It reminded me a lot of Sbarro. Nothing super spectacular but a good grab-and-go lunch spot.
