Fast Break is a near jip. What used to be a beat up convenience store is now a rebranded, renovated cornerstone of the Ditmars section in Astoria. Its beautiful looking, new, clean, and easily the brightest spot on the block, especially at night.
The prices have all gone up as this is probably the most expensive place for bodega friendly items like gatorade or twinkies. The store isn't even 24 hours like the name suggests. I've seen this place dark and closed from midnight on, which totally defaults the purpose of what the old one used to be (which was 24 hours). With an all glass exterior and no protection available for the after hours, its a break in / glass shattering experience waiting to happen.
