  1. I think I'm in love… With the fatty daddy Mexican chopped salad. I've been looking for a good Mexican/taco salad for a while now & this place hits the spot.

Portion size is very large. Good quality crispy romaine lettuce topped with cojita cheese. They add some tomatoes/onion but def not enough for my taste. My fav part is the jicama. It's sweet & crunchy, perfect addition to a Mexican salad. I top it off with the marinated grilled portobello mushrooms ($3), which comes as a very generous portion.

The salad comes with dressing, but as we all know to have a true taco salad you need guac, salsa & sour cream. Adding on the portobello & those 3 condiments brings the salad price to over $15 which I think is loco, hence the minus a star. Unfortunately, I'm addicted.

Boyfriend got the steak quesadilla. It was deeelish. Steak was juicy & very well marinated buuut the whole thing was SO greasy. His hands were literally slathered in oil afterwards #gross

  2. I glanced in the window on my way to another destination when a man exited Fatty Daddy and made it a point to stop and come back just to let us know that he is infatuated with this place. He told us everything was good on the menu and that he is compelled to come here regularly to get his fix. I wasn't hungry at that point, but always down to try a new place, I made a mental note.

Thank you infatuated man! This place has super friendly service and the tacos, quesadilla and enchilada soup that we tried upon our return were excellent. The quesadilla was large and stuffed full of delicious cheese and chicken (in my case). The steak from the tacos was also deliciously spiced and grilled.

BONUS: Although they are a small place with just a couple tables, they are a BYOB establishment and there is a great spot right next door!

  3. I came here a few times for lunch an I enjoy there food very much, I usually order to go bc I'm always on the run when I'm in Parkslope as I'm always working.

The gentleman I never grabbed his name is very nice an helpful when suggesting new things to me.

    the food is always great!!!

Anyway I do enjoy coming here an eating there food. I'll definitely be back as you all should too.

  4. Who doesn't like a friendly staff and fresh soft-shell tacos?? I got the chicken, steak, and fish tacos and they are all delicious. They come with your protein, lettuce, cilantro, onions, and a nice slice of lime. I personally think the lime is essential, it makes it even more delicious. My favorite is the fish taco because unlike the other two proteins, they top it off with an amazing orange sauce (I have no idea what it is but it works with everything.) Highly recommended. This IS however a small restaurant with not much seating so most likely you'll get it to go. Tip em well because they deserve it. Cheers.

  5. Good, inexpensive eats!  Ordered the rice and bean burrito – tasted fresh and it wasn't skimpy either. Also had a side of chips, very crispy and salty, and salsa – I picked the spicy and it did have a kick and it didn't taste like it came from a store brought jar!
The space is small with a counter/ stools and about four bar tables. It fills up quickly. Most people take out or get delivery. I did sit in to eat and got "trapped" in a corner because of the confined space. However, I was trapped with a burrito so I was really ok.

  6. Fatty Daddy is a fine, fine place to order from – good, reasonably priced food.  The tacos are great – the Al Pastor tacos in particular are on point – and the Burritos are huge.  Their salsa is incredibly good – I'm generally a chips & guac kind of guy, but their spicy salsa has just the right amount of addictive kick.  The quesadillas are a greasy, cheesy delight, with a generous side of sour cream and guac (extra) if desired (I desired).  Also, their Jarritos lime soda brings me back to my Bronx childhood.  All of the food is fresh and flavorful – few disappointments if any with the food quality.

Depending on timing, though, not an ideal space to eat in.  The space is small, with about 4-5 tables with stools.  Stopped in on a lovely Sunday late afternoon, and it was an incredibly tight squeeze. Even when we got a seat, it felt a bit cramped.  The staff was incredibly lovely and apologetic and got everyone their food as quickly as possible – perhaps it was just an unusually busy time – but I probably will stick to ordering in when I need my Fatty Daddy fix.  Which is often enough, believe you me.

  7. This is an okay place – it's way overpriced for the kind of food they are serving. I have been here thrice, tacos the first time, a salad the second, and a burrito the third. Burrito was the best out of the three options. The vegetarian tacos weren't tasty and veggies were old. The tortilla salad ended up having little pieces of meat in it after I asked a few times whether it was completely vegetarian, and the lettuce had brown spots all over it. The burrito was pretty good, although everything (beans, rice, tomatoes) seemed to be overly salted. Nice texture on the beans and the rice has a similar quality to basmati, funny enough. Healthy portion of everything in the burrito, but seriously lacking in flavor and overboard on salt. Probably won't come back cause it always seems to be a disappointment. Too much for add ons – guac AND salsa are always extra. Not recommended

  8. I LOVE TACOS.  And I have passed this place 100 times and always WANT to go in, so finally we did for a SNACK BEFORE DINNER because we had waited long enough.  Pleasant interior, GREAT LOADED tacos, fresh meat, and the staff was oddly very very friendly.  I think I am out of the delivery range by a HAIR which is SAD but I bet I could talk them into it, maybe.
