  1. These guys have the best fast food in the whole of Indian street. I love their pizzas and the chats. Everything is made to order and is fresh off the stove. I just love when people respect food and feed people with passion.
We usually order in through the Foodler app which is $5 in extra. The pizzas are always perfectly baked and they cater to your palatal needs. My favorites are the hydrogen bomb pizza (all the meats possible with peppers and jalapenos, to die for! $14 – serves two), the atom bomb pizza (this a pizza stuffed with veggies, yum again, but I like meat in my food better $12- serves two), the pav bhaji (perfectly made bun and great tasting bhaji $7) and the chicken tikka pizza (great tikka and $12 – serves two). My friends tried the rolls and claim they are good too.
The Irani chai here is said to be famous here. Tried, but not a big fan personally.
The staff is courteous and polite, the food is great and the place is clean. What more does a good restaurant need?!

  2. 2.5 hours of waiting for delivery to Hoboken on a Thursday night and still no food. What a joke! Owners didn't even have the courtesy to call and inform me, I had to call seamless to cancel my order. Thanks for ruining my dinner ! Another Pathetic Newark avenue establishment.

  3. Firstly, let me market this place to the uninitiated. Fido's is trying to be an Iranaian cafe for those familiar with these antiquated establishments present in Mumbai/India. They share roots and culture with Persians and are famous for thei rmilk tea with khari and rusk (like savory puffed pastry/biscotti  ) and bun (challah bread). The tea and bun is average in my opinion and does not stand upto the authentic ones.
However their kati rolls, kheemas and Indian style pizzas are solid. For the brave, try their atom bomb pizza that has a spicy veg mix with jalapenos and pepper flakes…really hot. A special shout out for their dal, which is very home style and can transport you back to your kitchen on its own !

  4. The rolls are great. So is the keema pav . Will highly recommend this place.

  5. One Saturday evening, I was looking for place that delivered in the area on Yelp's Eat24 app. I happened to come across Cafe Fido. Now I'm not normally a huge fan of Indian food but this place looked interesting. It was more like fast/modern Indian, which I had never really had. Then when I saw one of the pictures of the chicken tikka pizza, I was sold.

Chicken Bhuna Roll (chicken, bell peppers, onions, cilantro) – I liked it. The chicken wasn't dry and the naan held everything in it perfectly. For rolls, you can choose the type of bread you want. The only one I had heard of was naan so I went with what I knew. They also had ones called atta, besan, maida, and palak. After that, you choose your spice level – mild, medium, spicy, or very spicy. I ordered medium and it was just right.

Chicken Tikka Roll – I'm not sure what made this different from the chicken bhuna roll. Maybe the seasoning? The only major difference is that this was my boyfriend's roll, which he ordered as very spicy. I tried a bite and my tongue was on fire. He eats really spicy foods and even he said this was a little too spicy for him.

Hydrogen Bomb Pizza (mix of all meats with jalapeños and chili flakes) – now I'm not too sure what "all meats" entails, but if I had to make an educated guess based on their menu, I would say chicken and mutton. Like their rolls, you can choose the spice level. We ordered spicy and I discovered that spicy is TOO spicy. At least for me. I don't like to be chugging water in between each bite.

Would definitely order again, especially the pizza. But I'll be sticking to medium spice. The only thing is – all the food was cold by the time is arrived so we had to reheat. Maybe I'll try sitting in next time so everything will be freshly made.
