  1. Ive wanted to try Fillies for awhile. I finally did today.
It was really really good. I didn't think i was going to like it that much.

I had the tuna tar tar with avocado. It came with home made chips. It was very good, but couldn't have come with more chips.

Meg had the chicken parm. She said it was good. Only thing i would change is the price of the chicken park, $17. Chicken is cheap, so not sure why that was so expensive.

My favorite part was the bread with olive oil with crushed black olive spread. I could eaten that all day.

The waitresses all looked like bay ridge supermodels. That was a nice touch.

The wine list needs more by the glass options. I don't need a whole bottle.

I would go back. Everything was excellent. My waiter did a really good job. He was very nice.

  2. THE PANNA COTTA. oh my gosh. I have to start with the dessert so that you understand just how good the PANNA cotta was! Creamy, soft and so deliciously strewn with fresh strawberries and syrup! Not only was this on the house, but I would come back for it again and again. Okay onto the other food:

I ordered their special: shrimp and asparagus risotto. This was really delicious and I am so glad the waitress recommended it. Very simple dish but it was full of flavor! I liked that they did not skimp on the shrimp and they tasted fresh! The rice was cooked just right–a little bit of nuttiness and a bite. I know a good risotto when I see one!
My companion ordered the curry chicken salad which was delicious as well. We ordered the tuna tartar to start which was not bad, but a little bit on the tart side. I would try another appetizer next time.
To close up our meal, we ordered some cappuccinos. The cappuccinos were so well-made that I had to commend the waitress for it. She then told me it was the barista who made it, and that she was indeed a wonderful barista :). Smooth foam and strong, quality coffee with a little piece of brittle to nibble on!

I absolutely loved the service here. They did not rush us out at all, even though we were the last ones in the restaurant! The waitresses were so well-mannered and patient. They gave us complimentary Panna Cotta and checked on us occasionally to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! I am so pleasantly surprised by my experience, I will definitely be sure to return!
