There is some great Italian food at this cool little place in Williamsburg. I had pasta with sausage and bell pepper, and it was absolutely fantastic. And they piled it so high that I had a full second helping the next day for lunch!
I have seen some negative reviews about their service, but I received excellent, attentive service. I would recommend going on a weeknight to avoid the WB crowds and waits. This is a great little place! Check it out!
I went here for brunch a few months ago and our waiter was really rude, so I wanted
To make sure I came for the full dinner experience before writing a review and I'm so glad I did because Nuovo Fiore redeemed itself truly! The atmosphere is delightful, perfect for date or cosy friends night. The Maitre D was lovely and so on it. The service and food is so authentically Italian – and the portions are quite large, so don't overdo it. A success !
Used to be our Williamsburg go-to restaurant but we overdone it. I think we tried everything on the menu. Good quality and the service was always great since we knew the owner.
The star dishes were the mussels, meat lasagna and frutti di mare pasta. The gnocchi are superb but they are a BOMB! the gorgonzola goes right into your brain.
The calamari, eggplant, fried zucchini, and other starters are ok but nothing worth repeating.
Go for the entrees and specials on the board. They usually have a branzino, spanish mackerel or some fish dish that is pretty fresh.
The desserts are a waste of appetite and calories. The tiramisu is not as close as any good tiramisu recipe and the other desserts are just bla. Save your stomach for other goodies in the area.
The brunch is good too. Usual stuff but pretty decent.
I would give it a 5 but I'm comparing this to its' sister restaurant, Bianca, in the East Village that has a special place in my heart. I went in on a Sunday night around 7:30pm and it was quite empty, only 3-4 tables. If it was Bianca, there would already be a 1-1.5 hr wait or more. The prices are cheaper but the portion for my brodetto was considerably smaller and had a lot more oil than at Bianca. The service is good but doesn't have that same charm.
Overall, this one is much more spacious and lacks the noise and crowd. The food is somewhat similar but I do prefer Bianca, where they grate fresh cheese instead of handing you kraft parmesan in a jar. A lot of people prefer the more quiet and spacious ambience but I think that's what makes Bianca the clear winner for me. I like eating in a restaurant where you know the ingredients are fresh because it's always so crowded no matter what day it is and I actually like eating in a restaurant where there are people around me. All in all, food is good but I'm lacking excitment because I'm comparing it to Bianca.
Had dinner here with my friend in Williamsburg. We both got the seafood pasta, which was delicious!! We really enjoyed our experience. It was just a cute little Italian joint on the side of the street and we were starving before exploring and going out that night.
The service was a little subpar (hence the one star deduction). But the food in itself was delicious and the wine choices were comparable as well.
This is my go-to Italian place in the area…love the ambiance here – at night it is candle-lit, and they always play good music. I've only ordered one dish here, the bolognese, but it's very good (I always add a ton of red pepper and cheese on top 😛 ) and the portions are generous. The bread here is good, I always ask for balsamic vinegar with the olive oil. Prices are fair, the bolognese is $13. My go-to Italian spot with my friend, we will be back for another girl's night dinner 😀
Absolutely love this place. If you're living in the area consider yourself lucky!
I came here today for brunch with two of my friends and we sat in the corner of the garden in the back (it was lovely) and we sipped Mimosas in the sun. I got the eggs Benedict with salmon which also came with french fries. And my friends got the spaghetti so which is tomato and basil and the strawberry pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out with in a few minutes. I made a reservation at 1 o'clock but when we got there the restaurant was relatively empty so we were seated promptly. The waitstaff was very nice and even brought out a complementary tiramisu for the for the 3 of us which was really nice!! The prices are really affordable and the food quality was really great. It was a beautiful day & we really enjoyed the meal 🙂
I would definitely come back with friends family significant others kids (& maybe even pets since there's an outdoor space)!
Absolutely enjoyed my experience here at.. I stumbled upon the restaurant on the fly for dinner one night after seeing the homemade pasta on the menu. I though am a lover of seafood so I ordered the salmon, cooked medium. It was cooked to perfection and complemented by roasted potatoes and kale. Very healthy! The food was not over seasoned or masked it in any way. It's freshness was allowed to talk for itself.
They are cash only so be mindful however there are atms around.
