Five Guys Burgers and Fries

“0ne of the only decent options for eating at LaGuardia Airport Terminal B. Very nice taking your order.”

“So far, the team here is doing just a great job, and I honestly will try to fly American out of LGA just so I can stop here beforehand.”

“The burgers here are slightly cheaper, and we also thought that the burgers here tasted better compared to the locations in Manhattan.”

  1. I love, but am not surprised, that this Five Guys is cheaper than the one by my apartment in Manhattan.  This definitely hit the spot before we caught our flight to Chicago.  We always each get a burger and then split fries and a soda because those fries are massive.  Other than the price difference, nothing stands out in my mind as making this place different from other Five Guys.  I love that toppings are free and their pickles are delicious.

  2. 0ne of the only decent options for eating at LaGuardia Airport Terminal B.  Very nice taking your order. All 5 Guys locations are painfully slow putting the orders together, and this one is no exception, but I will say the gentleman making my grilled cheese was treating it like he was assembling a master piece, and not just being slow, so I really did not mind the wait.  The Grilled cheese was really good because I took advantage of the free toppings and added: mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and mayo.  Grilled cheese and small fries came to just under $8, which is pricy.  More of a gripe is the small fries is big enough to feed a family of 4, which I guess that's a good thing, but I feel bad throwing food away.  My biggest gripe is 5 Guys doesn't serve veggie burgers.  Just buy a box of frozen patties and charges me $8 for a veggie burger and fries!  Burger king does it, McDondalds does it, a fancy burger place like 5 Guys should do it too.

Sorry to get carried away, overall good experience at this airport location, I enjoyed the great quality of ingredients 5 Guys always delivers.

  3. Waiting for Friends at the Airport makes me hungry, no surprise there.  Browsing around LGA Central there were a handful of places still open in the evening but what was most noticeable was several sign placements strategically placed through-out which advises you that 5guys Burgers is at the Foodcourt over there.

Arriving to the far end of section D held a few more appetizing shops of Dunkin' Donuts, Famiglia Pizza and then 5guys.  5guys stood out as I browse the immediate area although calm and peaceful, most of the customers mainly on-duty TSA officers all had 5guys on their tables.  It could be Dunkin' Donuts was closed or the Famiglia wasn't looking too appetizing.

5guys Burger it was as the staff told me no COMBO existed at this moment and he asked me if I wanted one patty or two.  Opted for one patty and got Grilled Mushrooms and Onions as toppings.  Fries to make the Meal complete.

The Burger was A-OK but I can't but think that the Grilled Mushrooms and Onions affected the taste as it wasn't warmed up.  Fries remind me of NY Fries flavour, plain and simple.  I've got to thank the Lady staff there as she was clearly the one who knows what sanitation meant while the Cook less so didn't even realize my Brown Bag was on the ground.

  4. MAKE SURE you get food before you go through security (obviously), but there aren't really many choices past that for the American Airlines terminal.

Best option here, and decently priced!  The burger goes through the x-ray just fine 🙂

  5. My first experience of Five Guys Burgers at LaGuardia Airport were A-OK!

When I ever stuck at the airport, I always hate paying for expensive crappy airport food.. and don't start me on those airline food during short haul that they think we will pay!

The lady that I took my order was super friendly. I just ordered a Hamburger (700 calories) and I just could not indulge on the fries (640 calories). I know I probably ate more calories from Chinese food.. but hey the less I know, I just pretend that all the lunch specials I ate are of 0 calories..

Hamburger I found that it is a little dry though. The patties are both really thin., maybe that's the reason of the dryness?

I do like the way that how Five Guys has grilled mushrooms and grilled onions as free toppings.

Five Guys are much better choices than say Burger King or McDonald's! But I don't think I will make a trip just to have to a burger there. (PS I am not flying all the way to LGA to have a burger!)

  6. Pretty standard and welcome addition to the otherwise desolate wasteland that is LGA.

I was a little apprehensive at first when I saw this maker of delicious burgers inside the airport. After all, 5 Guys isn't exactly the cheapest fast food burger joint, so put in in an area that drives food prices up to 5 star gourmet restaurant status, and you've got a recipe for a wallet draining disaster! Not so here, though! It was the same price as in the city.

The burger was tasty and hit the spot, staving off my hunger moodiness enough to deal with the flight cancellation I was about to run into!

  7. Service: 3/5
    Food: 4/5
    Overall: 3.5 stars

Crazy! They open at 5am for the early bird travelers.

-The Fries were from Royal City, Washington when I visited. They were a bit salty but great potatoes.
-Cheeseburger with mushrooms was a great combination.

Five Guys Burger rivals Shake Shack. I wish they were closer so I could eat both and have a better comparison.

  8. First time trying Five Guys! I thought it was a good burger, I like how you can pick all your toppings, big list too. I like the fries, old school with the peel on. I'd go back.
