  1. Buffets aren't really my thing, but I came here with a large group of friends the other day and it was the perfect solution. They have something for everyone, the food is decent and the price can't be beaten.

Most of the food is greasy, deep-fried stuff. That's not really my cup of tea, so fortunately they had a good amount of healthyish items. Salad bar was better than expected, everything was pretty fresh and there were a lot of things to choose from.

Gotta love a buffet that has sushi! Most buffets keep it to a couple of classic rolls, but not here! Lots of different rolls (even two vegetarian!) as well as sashimi. Props on that.

Other stuff I tried: Kimchi, on point. Edamame was cold which kinda threw me off. Seaweed salad could've been better. Sauteed asparagus was a pleasant surprise. They also had a fruit bar which I used for dessert, most of it was fresh but some was ehh. Overall, the food gets mixed reviews. Thankfully you can just keep trying stuff til you find something you like.

Best part about this place is the price. Dinner for $14, tax included, you can't go wrong. +$2 for soda with free refills. Decor and service aren't too shabby either. Altogether, a check-outtable spot.

  2. This buffet was amazing 1-2 years ago, now it's good and great for groups. Come here for Sushi and made to order Hibachi (lunch). During lunch $10(adults) will get you fresh sushi, fresh hibachi and drinks – All you can EAT! Very hard to find anywhere in North NJ.

    Lunch Pricing:
    – $7.99 for adults
    – $4.95 for kids under 12
    – Have a few extra dollars so you can tip the sushi and hibachi guys. Believe me it makes your experience there better.

    Food:
They literally have everything! I do tend to recall more options 1-2 years ago.
    – sushi station.
    – salad station.
    – fruit station.
    – rice and noodle and soup station.
    – Chinese food stations.
    – American food station.
    – dessert and ice cream station.

    What's good here:
Sushi, hibachi, prime rib, salmon, Chinese food, fruits and desserts.

I took the liberty of snapping some pics, but you should really give this place a try if buffets are your thing, dining with a big group or simply want some Hibachi and Sushi on the cheap. Enjoy folks.

  3. This would have been a 3 star, but there was one specific thing that annoyed me. Within 30 mins of myself and my friend being here, a person came over trying to get us to leave and gave us a check. Im sorry but im chunky , love to eat,and was only on plate #2. DO NOT rush me out. Ive been to many buffets in my day, never any this big and ive never had that happened. that just rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention, they came back again 30 mins later, i told them we are not done. yes it was packed, but you came over 2 times within an hour? at any other establishment that you pay a la carte, you can be there anywhere from 45 to 2 hours depending on service. Slow your roll flaming grill.

however, the food was okay. The key is here is the fact that they have a hibachi grill. for the most part they have a little bit of everything here. However, if you are not a meat eater, i dont know what you would enjoy. Not many veggie options.I wish they had more pasta, like italian dishes—they only had pizza. There was a fair share slection of sushi, but honestly it isnt the best at all. Various types of chicken, they love their chicken here. and no crab legs or lobster but stuffed shrimp with pork and crawfish and a type of salmon and tilapia i believe. honestly, the food is beig rotated constantly and the place is huge, and clean so over all i enjoyed the food for what it is.

  4. I've been to a few buffets around NJ, and this place is probably the better one I've been to thus far. The buffet itself is located next to Dollar Tree in Liberty Commons on 17S. Since all the stores in this plaza are packed together, expect the parking lot to be crowded. Inside Flaming Grill, well…expect the same thing: A large crowd. This place gets busy, so try and avoid the peak lunch hours or just prepare to navigate around all the people near the food.

For the most part, I actually enjoyed some of the food here. I'm sure everyone has their favorite, but the fried salt and pepper calamari, the sauteed green beans, spicy scalloped potatoes, the crab rangoon, most of the sushi, the fried plantains, and a few others were pretty good. Speaking of sushi, there were three guys constantly making rolls when I was here earlier, so the sushi should be pretty fresh. Two things, though: The fried sushi rolls are chewy (did not like them at all) and the wasabi and ginger containers were disgustingly messy (not the staff's fault). In the other sections, some of the dishes–mainly the fried goodies–were overcooked, so they became way too tough to eat.

Outside of that, this buffet is pretty good–and cheap! The service was great and the staff here are friendly. I can't comment on the desserts, but there is pre-packaged ice cream–I believe it's $0.50/ea, but don't quote me on the price.

  5. This is one of my favorite AYCE buffets. The hibachi is good and includes steak and shrimp. The sushi is really sad, but I don't come here for the sushi!

Perhaps one of the largest selections in a AYCE you will find in the tri-state area.  Today alone I ate at least five different shrimp dishes, crawfish, steak, fresh crab and tasted several other dishes followed by a halfway decent chocolate cake. (Did I mention they include ice cream, cakes and other deserts?)

  6. Geez, all these other low ratings are so intimidating in a way, but I do understand everyone's experience is different. Here's my lil story:

So my sister and I decided to go on a little trip a little farther than we're used to going. I'm trying to get used to driving to far places so, this was a great opportunity. Not only that but we wanted to try a new buffet since we're always going to the same one locally. I must say, I will DEFINITELY come back here and bring my entire family.

They tried to sit us next to other people at a table but we waited instead because I like my booths.. and I will not sit at a table. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life. Anyway, they have a great selection of different foods to eat and they have freaking cake! Maybe I don't go out much? But I've never been to a buffet that had cake.. and not just one but about four or five different cakes (okay, I checked, SEVEN cakes) and other sugary goodies! This place looks so damn fancy but yet very affordable. It is perfect for a nice gathering amongst friends and/or family. It is unfortunate that I didn't get to try their fruits and ice cream.. but next time, I definitely will.

I give this place five stars because I couldn't find anything wrong (besides the fact that they don't have crab legs BUT I'll let you guys slide on this one). My sister and I left the place very, very, very happy! Thank you! 🙂

  7. Been coming here for a couple of years. The food is actually decent and they are cheap at around $13/pp for dinner on weekends.

I drop off a few stars since tonight, we found a cockroach crawling around our seat and we killed it and showed it to the waitress.

The manager came by. Saw that we were regulars and didn't even apologize or offer a discount off the bill.

In other places, they would have comped the meal. Not here!

  8. First of all, let me say if you are local, lunch is $7.99 – you can't get a sandwich and a soda nowadays for that price, MUCH less all you can eat shrimp and sushi.

I came here through a recommendation from my picky a$$ parents, who only eat out at Latin restaurants, so I knew it had to be decent. I was shocked at the price and was even more shocked at how many fresh seafood, fresh sushi and hibachi that was offered for that same price! Needless to say I stuffed myself with fancy sushi rolls, seaweed salad, crawfish and then decided to try the cheesey crab, garlic shrimp, coconut chicken and ribs. Did I mention I don't bother with carbs?

Overall, I was highly impressed with the value and freshness of the food. With Buffets, my biggest pet peeve is the place feeling dirty, and that sometimes isn't even the establishment, but the people that go there and make it messy. But here there is a lot of attention given so that the food options are always full and that the place is very clean.

I will warn you that I hated the dessert options, yes even the ice cream sucked. The place is huge, and during the week they have no wait time, even for dinner. I will definitely be returning after I can digest everything I inhaled already. Don't get crazy and bring a date first date here, unless you think they're the one….as in the one you can unbutton your pants button with.
