I was visiting New Jersey and hit up this little diner. The people were friendly, the menu was good. I ordered an omelette which was good and they added to it for me. I kept hearing about Taylor Ham and was not sure what it was, so naturally I wasn't going to just order it. The waitress was so nice she let us try some before we ordered so we can see if we liked it. No offense to New Jersians but I did not order it…
The place was clean and I can't think of anything necessarily negative or off putting. It is only getting 4 stars because although the food was good, it did not WOW me.
I stopped into the Florham Park Diner for a team breakfast with coworkers.
I ordered the buttermilk pancakes special. The pancakes were excellent and fluffy. It came with a side of meat. Of course, I went with the Taylor ham!
One thing my party found confusing was the listing of meat that came as a side. It wasn't clear if you got Taylor ham, sausage, and bacon or a choice of those things. This was particularly a question when it came to the hungry man breakfast.
The service was excellent. They constantly checked on you for coffee and if you needed anything else. The diner itself was very clean.
If you're looking for a great NJ diner, I would highly recommend this place.
Finally a good diner!!!! Wow that has been a long search. Although we have to drive about 15 minutes to it, it is totally worth it. One of the cleanest diners we have ever visited. Breakfast consistently good. Service consistently friendly, but……always seems a bit understaffed.
We look forward to trying for lunch or dinner.
OK, So been here twice and have only had the pancakes. Loving them though. small homey place in a small strip mall. Nothing to look at but the staff is friendly and did I mention the pancakes. My new favorite in the Florham Park area.
This family run diner is an institution in Florham Park. The renovations are outstanding, it looks gorgeous. The staff is great and they never rush you. The food is your standard diner fare and you can get anything no mater what time. Breakfast here is great, with lots to choose from. I used to visit for lunch all the time but it doesn't fit into my schedule lately but I am sure it is hopping at lunch time.
Honestly, it's just a so-so diner. They're not doing anything special, nor are they doing anything terrible. The only reason I used to go out of my way to dine there was their having participated in UPromise. They no longer participate. I find diners closer to home.
They did a great job of renovating. Now they need to do something similar with their menu. I wish they had more inventive salads and more creative entrees, but it's all so standard.
I was also jerked around by a server or two on various occasions who offered me something with my entree, or asked me how I wanted my meal. My entree would arrive without any of those items, only to be told afterwards by my server that those items were not available. Why offer? Do you, or do you not know your own menu? Just kind of off-putting.
