  1. It was okay, but more on the mediocre side. Surprisingly, there wasn't a wait for brunch, but maybe not so surprising. The omelette was pretty good–and unique in the fact that it had tofu in it. The chili, however, was lackluster and the sweet corn bread in the middle didn't really add to the flavor, I would have preferred a more coarse, savory corn bread. I loved the ricotta pancakes though, and the side of pancakes would have probably been enough for a whole meal! I wouldn't visit again, though, because there are better places for brunch.

  2. Brunch is always a toss up in regards to wait times on the west side, especially on a Saturday morning. Somehow this spot had room despite it being a nook inside a popular market.

A bit pricey of a menu, which is expected from places that use fresh ingredients. After looking at all the pictures, settled on the Smoked Salmon Tartine ($18) and a Green Chili Bloody Mary ($14). Drink is spicy and strong; not in the overbearing kind of way. Salmon tartine is layers of well prepared fish with an egg on top. Considering I had a standard knife, it was pretty hard to cut through the bread and to keep the meal intact. Solid meal that didn't leave me too full.

Service here is a bit of a drag. Had to flag down the waitress to order, get water, and for the bill (not sure why the bartender was our server). Good place to go if there is no wait.

  3. One of the best hidden gems for brunch lovers in the Chelsea area. A terrific organic, seasonal menu accompanied by a buzzing vibe that is quaint and family friendly. The uniqueness of having an artisanal market attached to the eatery is quite appealing especially for patrons looking to kill time waiting for their tables. The salmon tartine, silver dollar pancakes, and variety of side dishes are great for sharing and the uninitiated. The egg dishes in recent months have been a bit on the bland side for my fellow brunch mates.

The only caution is to make sure your party arrive early. The wait can be as long as 15-20 minutes even with a reservation.

  4. This spot was a great brunch choice! Ingredients are super fresh and entrees were executed perfectly. Service was also super friendly and attentive.

I really don't think you could go wrong with any of the menu choices. We got the salmon tartine and pork crepinette for entrees and split a silver dollar order of the orange blossom ricotta pancakes (per server reco). The pancakes were light and fluffy with unique orange flavor. The crepinette had a delicious tangy vinegar based broth at the bottom that worked well with the Rosemary potatoes and crumbled pork.

My roommate and I both had the spicy bloody Mary's which were very tasty. This spot was a bit pricey so reco to take out of towners for a unique brunch spin!

  5. Was here for a quick brunch by the kitchen bar. Me and my friend were in and out in about 45 min, good spot for a quick brunch before heading to do what ever….
I ordered the kale drink called the Chelsea, it was too bitter for me and i hated it :(….
Rosemary roastie was really good, perfectly cooked roasties that i could eat a whole plate in 1 seating. My friends really liked this place too…

  6. Foragers Table is located within a market by the same name.  In the grocery store, you will find some unique buys- organic products(straight from the farm) such as sauces, snacks(cheddar popcorn), smoked meats, etc.  I like that the store gave me a space to browse while waiting to be seated.

I am a die-hard fan of brunch for it is a difficult meal to get right- seemingly simple, but hard to execute fast at a high level.

I could not decide between the Salmon Tartine(Sunnyside Up Alderfer Farm Egg, Escarole, Spinach, Dill Crème Fraîche, Pickled Shallot on Black Rooster Rye Bread $18) and the Pancakes so my friend and I split the pancakes between the two of us.  She ordered the Whole Wheat Wrap(Alderfer Farm Scrambled Eggs, Grassfed Steak, Vermont Cheddar, Heirloom Salsa Verde, Wok Greens $19) which she enjoyed.  My Smoke Salmon Tartine was made perfectly.  The ooziness from the sunnyside egg coated my salmon, and cut the saltiness of that cured fish flavor.

Their pancakes(Orange Blossom Ricotta Pancakes, Candied Orange, Ioka Valley Farm Maple Syrup $18) were stellar.  I love it when listed flavors are infused into the pancake itself instead of only being sprinkled atop.  Foragers does the job right- airy pancakes with distinct orange flavors to give it that extra freshness.

Knowing that the ingredients used were all locally sourced(from their own farm), organic foods is an undeniable plus in my book.  Foragers Table has its industrial touch, but is not too far gone, for a comfortable casual experience.  Equipped with floor to ceiling windows, it is the quintessential spot for people browsing during brunch.

  7. Absolutely excellent iced cappuccino.  And the food looks great too!  I may have to change my lunch plans!

  8. The BF & I had errands to run in Chelsea and were in need of a wholesome, healthy brunch (or at least I was).  After browsing our options on Yelp, we came across Forager's Table, a farm-to-table restaurant with locally sourced and organic food.  I'm quite surprised I didn't have it bookmarked already considering my sincere love for health food!

I was pleasantly surprised to see how airy and pretty the restaurant was.  I was also excited to spot the market on my way in for post-brunch browsing!  The BF started with their signature Bloody Mary and thought it was good (means a lot considering the fact that he's had almost every BM in Manhattan).

I ordered the Super Green Egg White Omelette – egg whites, wok greens, asparagus, broccoli, and organic tofu.  It came with a side of delicious rosemary seasoned potatoes.  Ordering egg whites is really a hit or miss – but the Forager's Table makes this dish well-worth getting.  The BF had their steak & egg wrap.  He enjoyed it but it was definitely on the soggy side.

Overall we both enjoyed our brunch here, especially knowing that our food came from happy and healthy places.
