“The arugula salads bitterness and freshness cleansed our palettes, and then the Montanara came out to share.”
“The crust is in between Fornino's and Motorino's, with just the right amount of chew and crisp.”
“I think the pizza here is on par with Roberta's and Paulie Gees without the insane waits and the hipster decor.”

Came here on a Saturday night and easily made a reservation the day of – once there, we were seated even though 2 of our part weren't here yet. We split the meatball pizza, montanara, and pignasecca, which had sausage, mushrooms, and caramelized onions, as well as the calamari, rice balls, truffle fries, and fettucine alfrdo. The truffle fries were delicious and we ordered another round. The calamari and fettucine were really good too but I would pass on the pignasecca pizza next time because it was oddly sweet and the least favorite pizza of all. My favorite was the meatball pizza, though the crust of the montanara is really good too. The pizza here reminds me of Lucali's, which is my all-time favorite pizza spot so I'm a fan of this place.
I wish I can give this place a five star… If…
So on a Saturday afternoon me and my friend decided to try something different, and we stumbled upon this place, Fried Pizza is what I wanted to try…
The Service: rude and obnoxious as ever! The server didn't even wanna repeat something he said about beverages, he was like "I just told you" I never had such a rude server, I felt unwelcomed, and it looked like that he was there on a mission to make us feel uncomfortable in any possible way…
The pizza: the taste of the dough itself was out of this world, really really good… but the toppings were Unfresh, and tasteless, for example: I substituted the cheese for the buffalo mozzarella one, and I testicle think that it wasn't the real deal, it did not taste like Italian mozzarella should taste like, etc… and to top it off: we both got the runs five minutes after finishing our first slice, so something was really off with the pizza! Oh and it ruined my appetite, I couldn't eat anything the next day…
Again I would so want to love this place, I see so much potential here, but unfortunately they ruined it for all of us…
Had a friend in town and wanted her to experience how delicious this pizza was. Dropped by around 6PM on Sunday and there were only two other guests.
We unpacked our fresh sangria we had purchased up the block as I knew this place was BYOB as long as you pay the cork fee.
We were told by the waiter quite rudely that outside beverages are not allowed….huh?
So I asked the waiter if the establishment is still BYOB….he said yes but only wine…so I politely explained that we had sangria…and was confused why we couldn't drink it?? My bf calmly tried to reason with the waiter as we had a guest with us and were really excited for her to try the pizza..so he asked the waiter to speak with his manager and see if we could clear this up as we were gladly willing to pay the $12 cork fee.
The waiter said his manager's name was Julio and told us he was in the office at the restaurant. He said he would speak to him and come back. The waiter never left the floor and we could see him on the phone and he came back and said we cannot drink our beverages there.
Mind you….IT WAS WINE and there were only 2 other guests in the entire restaurant, wtf?
Not sure what the problem was and I'm not sure why we were given such a hard time but we got up and left…and will not return.
VERY poor customer service.
Fried pizza. fried f*cking pizza. This exists. Only in NY, of course. They fry the dough first, then add the sauce/toppings to it, then bake it. This is treeeats. Also, the Piccante pizza is great if you love spicy food (which suits me well).
I came here at 3am a few weeks ago with friends on a Thursday night after going to the Good Room in Greenpoint– it stays open till 4am and is a hidden gem many people don't know about. It's a sit down place but they are generally fast and the food hits the spot.
If you're looking for upscale drunk food, Forcella is your jam.
Depending on the day of the week it can get a little packed, with a 20 60 min wait. But the Pizza is good, I also like the dessert pizza.
I heard about the Montanara fried pizza so I had to try it. It was good it is not the best I ever had but the crust was good. I glad I finally tried the fried pizza because I love trying different joints in the city. It is something everyone should try at least once. The location is also very nice place.
We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area, and hearing that they're well known for their fried pizza, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were immediately seated at a nearby table. It was a busy night so all the other tables were filled.
Our service was good and so was our food!
The pizza was tasty, and basically was like a pan crust pizza, which I enjoyed. I also ordered the tiramisu and finished it all on my own! Loved it!
Overall, it's worth trying.
A great pizza place that is open late for delivery! Yay!
The first time we ordered here, it took close to 90 minutes to be delivered and we figured they were probably busy on a week night. The second time we ordered, it was such a speedy delivery that it arrived before the anticipated delivery time on GrubHub!
We tried the meatball pizza and it was incredible and filling (even split between two people). We ordered the truffle fries and it was alright but not our favorite. We tried the cannoli and you can tell it was rolled around in the delivery vehicle because there was cream everywhere; regardless, it was delicious.
The second time we ordered, we had the Fettuchine Alfredo which was good but personally a little bland. We also had the eggplant parmigiana and it was pretty tasty. Overall, the delivery is on and off at times and certain food items on the menu tasted better than others. Their pizza is our food of choice!
