  1. It's like a mob of hungry people gets up round the clock to get a bagel on a Saturday.  The service is super fast like a serving line at wall street lunch hour. The selection is excellent you can get virtually any fillings with your bagel.  The servers stand behind a counter putting filling to bagels in rapid fire fashion.

I had a hot pastrami hero and was treated so wasn't sure what the price was.  The Hero was excellent, hot and made to order.  You kind of have to scream the order or at least raise your voice slightly cause of the crowd.

It's a pretty Fun place in this tame and quiet neighborhood.

  2. This is the best bagel spot in Queens. No questions asked. They have parking, foods on point and they work quick, yet my order was always made proper. Everyone here is good but my favorite is Ruben. He hooks it up every single time. They have the biggest assortment of drinks and juices and they make hot food too. They are open legit 365 days a year. Highly recommend this spot, looking forward to coming back here. Thank you forest hills bagels and thank you Ruben for always putting love into our food.

A bagel and sandwich shop located in a small strip mall along Queens Boulevard, at the corner of 69th Road.  More spacious and aesthetically pleasing than such places tend to be, with good seating options between tables and counter-style stools along the windows.  The store itself is bright, clean, and streamlined.

They do very brisk business, especially in the mornings.  The ordering counter is at the back, the line starting on the right.  The staff are incredibly efficient, courteous, and will take orders rapid-fire.  The menu is posted very visibly and legibly over the counter; check out an additional chalkboard on the left wall for sandwich specials.  Drinks are in a fridge along that left wall, and cream cheese flavors and other toppings can be viewed in the brightly lit counter.

Serving very respectable NY bagels, with a decent crust and nice chewiness.  All the usual variety of flavors available, likewise with cream cheese, but nothing exotic.  Besides bagels, all the usual sandwich choices are available, breakfast and lunch.  The sandwiches are decent.  They don't overdo grease in their egg sandwiches.

Forest Hills Bagels is a bit more expensive than the average deli serving these items, for the step up in quality and cleanliness.  I'm not a regular for that reason, but I still go often and they are a good option to have in the neighborhood.

  4. these are the best bagels in the neighborhood. other bagel places in the area have yet to really impress me, but FHB always does a spectacular job. perfect consistency and flavor.

    damn fine coffee too!

the prices are right, and this place is clean. it gets hectic in mornings but they also deliver.

  5. This shop has pretty good bagels and a wonderful spreads galore! I asked my bagel to be warm, but not toasted. They popped it in the microwave and the bagel turned out perfect. The everything bagel is nicely seasoned. I had my everything bagel with herb cream cheese. The herb cream cheese is a must have.

There are long lines in the morning, but surprisingly I never had to wait long.

  6. I was here this morning for some breakfast. After years of passing by finally went inside. Really liked it here. Very spacious and well kept. Course there was a long line for the morning rush, but like follow Yelpers mentioned it moved very quickly.

Very good variety here. So many cream cheeses, wraps, omelettes etc.  My husband and I  went for two hot coffees, plain bagel with lox and cinnamon raisin with scallion cream cheese. They were fresh and delicious. I let my picky daughter try some and even she liked it. I was pretty impressed with this place, the busiest I have seen and no matter how long the lines would go quickly. Not every place is like this. They also have a sitting area. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Definitely understand why they been around for 30 years.

  7. Hot soft bagels, fresh juice, a low fat muffin and a flavorful omelette- isn't it the perfect menu for a weekend breakfast. And this bagel shop delivers it all. Usually packed with people lining up in queue, the place is a busy spot and has a variety of bagels, cream cheeses and muffins. A must try when u want a quick on the go kind of grub!

  8. Forest Hills Bagels is a staple of Forest Hills that has been serving this community for thirty years. However, I just discovered them yesterday.

On a sleepy Saturday morning, my family and I rolled in before the crowds.
We ordered a sesame toasted bagel with cream cheese, a toasted tuna melt, a pastrami hero with bacon, lettuce and tomato and a BLT.

And although the order of the pastrami BLT on a hero is super weird, it was delicious! The juicy pastrami was thinly sliced complementing the crispy salty bacon and the crisp lettuce. The tomato could have been sweeter but it wasn't in season. And we had a good laugh about my strange order.

Their bagel was crispy and chewy and had delicious rich, velvety cream cheese. I'm salivating just thinking about it.

If you have never been, definitely go to Forest Hills Bagels! You won't regret it.
