  1. This place is super cute and trendy! I wish Forest Hills had more restaurant like these on the strip.

Came here with a friend and we ordered bbq wings and mac and cheese, sooooo good!

Only thing I have to warn you about are the wings. They're super big and will be messy to eat! We literally got bbq sauce all over our hands and wished we had a sink sitting right next to the table. We had to ask the waiter for tons of wet-napkins!

Service is good, food is yummy, so I must say, give this place a go!

  2. I've heard great things about this place and finally went to check it out because I needed a place to watch the basketball game. Walking through the door the security and hostess was friendly and inviting. Great first impression. The wait staff, food runner were also on point! The food however was just mediocre. I feel like a lot of it was under seasoned. The fried chicken livers could have been fried a little more. The chicken liver mousse definitely needed more salt. The bread tasted stale. The pulled pork mac and cheese was good. I did not care for the buffalo wings at all. Although they were definitely huge pieces. The fried apple pie dessert was good but i did not care for the fried snickers. And there wasnt enough gravy on the poutine fries. I would definitely go back to have some drinks but dont know if i will go all out for food.

  3. I can't believe it took me so long to come here. What a great spot in Queens!

Conveniently located near ALL major train stops (including the LIRR), this place has a stellar beer list and yummy food, too!

We had the poutine to start (SO good!), and I ordered the empanadas as my meal. He got the little lamb burgers, complete with onion rings. All the food was really delicious — I couldn't finish it all.

Most importantly, the beer list is off the charts. Rare beers from local breweries, and a convenient indicator to show you if they're running out of a particular beer.

Definitely go, but go early — this place is small and fills up fast.

  4. I was not impressed at all that night. The one of the things I hate is to go to a place that has gave me a memorable experience, and to go again and to hate my experience. I'm just going to list the reasons because there is no need for elaboration.

    1. The burger was overdone. I asked for medium, and I still got a dry burger. This was very frustrating for me because, it was one of those waitresses who need to rush you to get the orders yet does take the chance to really listen to details.

    2. Sweet potatoes were burnt. I had to look at my previous review's pictures to make sure I was eating the same thing. To my surprise, the dry bland texture was the sweet potato fries.

    3. The table they gave to us was a joke. I asked her if we could get a table that is not near the kitchen, and she ignored me . We were seated near the kitchen and it was very uncomfortable. I asked to move the table because I had to constantly move my head because the waiters and chef would be chilling near the entrance of the kitchen which was near my chair.

    4. The waitress made it seem as if she was two seconds away from ending her shift. Unless I said "check" or "we are ready to order" she would completely ignored us. Paying $20 for that I could have went to Shake Shack, or nearby deli.

  5. So I've had the pleasure of venturing to Queens…something that I rarely think of doing. However, when you have a friend who loves yumminess just as much as you it's an easy reason to venture out to the borough that has the same street and numbers all across it…lol

Anywho, my friend and I met here for brunch on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Nice enough to sit at the table that was closet to outside. It's your basic neighborhood bar w/ some good eats.

I had the brisket hash and my friend had the French toast w/ peaches and bacon. The brisket hash was flavorful and filling. My friend inhaled the French toast in two bites. As for cocktails, I had the ghost sangria….LOVED IT!!! The other was a mimosa cocktail made with beer instead of champagne.

I must say I enjoyed this place enough to venture back into a borough that is not my own. Especially, if they make brisket and cocktails like that.

  6. Friend took me here for the first time. I like the vibe and eye candy both off-screen and on-screen. They have lots of tv's playing sports. I'm a sports girl. Lots of beer on tap selection. Good food selection. I had the Flying Dog, didn't really get the flavors it's supposed to have but it was good beer. We ordered the pate, fish tacos, and wings to share. Pate was very good, could've given more toast. Fish tacos were good, fish was very fresh. Could've used more sauce (don't think mine had any sauce actually), and the toppings needs flavor. Wings were great. Just right. Like the place a lot would definitely return.

  7. Went for a nice stroll on a Wednesday evening to  walk into this charming bar.  Had a nice dark beer on tap which was recommended by the server since my usual fav was sold out.  Ordered Big Pig sandwich & fish tacos….!  Yum~!!  It was such a good surprise to find a place in Forest Hills conveniently tucked away near LIRR station.  Big Pig sandwich is made of pulled pork with lots of smoke taste topped off with crunchy coleslaw. Portion was pretty generous but fries served with the sandwich didn't match the quality of the plate.  Fish tacos tasted clean and simple.  Atmosphere was casually professional and service was quite friendly.

  8. I love this place!! It's a great place to go for drinks after a long day at work. The food there is equally as good as their drinks! Great place to go for drinks/dinner/brunch with friends!
