Their pizza is thin crust and has very generous topping. I happen to have ordered the spinach with egg. It had 3 eggs!
Big enough even for 2 people or if you're a big eater – for 1.
I will come back!
Amazing pizza with really fresh toppings!
One of the best places in Brooklyn.
Go go! Try it!
Great service and good food, surprisingly no wait on a Saturday night. Prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella antipasti ($10/each). We ordered 3 pies and our unanimous favorite was the truffle pizza ($50/large pie). It's worth every penny and it's something worth trying.
This Pizza spot is keeeeewl.
They offer inside and outside seating and wine, beer, and sangria for the liquor.
Had the Al Roker and Margarita pizzas, both solid.
Will need to get that Sangria next time, it looked good.
FORNINO,
JUST before I moved out of NYC I finally discovered you and now you're one of the TOP 3 pizza places I've tried in NYC (alongside Luzzo's and Rubirosa, all good for different types of pizza). I love your crust with that charred bite and good saltiness. Oh why didn't I discover you earlier??
they serve their pies in 2 sizes, we probably shouldn't have finished a small size each but somehow we managed
–FUNGHI MISTI: this is probably the best "white" pizza i've had in NYC, the truffle oil is yummy but again it's just fornino's crust that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE
—4 Stagoni: we wanted to try a red pizza with prosciutto but i think we shoulda stuck to a margherita.. i ended up picking off all the olives and eggplant because they were overwhelming
yummy pizza & no line or wait on a sunday during lunch? SCORE
I'm not one to put pizza on a pedestal (Note to self: a pizza pedestal is a brilliant idea. Patent that pronto!)
But I must say, almost everything at this establishment is sure to please. Funghi Misti all the way!
This is probably my favorite place that we went to during our stay in Brooklyn. I crave their delicious truffle flavored pizza at this moment while writing this review. The place is quaint, dimly lit, and very clean.
We ordered the truffle pizza and it was the best pizza my sister and I had ever had. There was just the right amount of truffle oil, which soaked into the crispy, thin base of the pizza. We even liked the crust, which was crispy and chewy, not dry at all. On each table there is also a bottle of spicy olive oil, which we tried with our pizza and enjoyed. Portion wise, we ordered one regular sized pizza and it was plenty enough for both of us.
Been here twice and both awesome experiences. Gotten 3 different pies and they're all consistently delicious with fresh ingredients and well-made tomato sauce. It tastes as amazing as it looks. Solid choice if you're craving pizza.
The last time I was here, I opted for the $26 Al Roker (Tomato, Mozzarella, Fontina, Caramelized Onion, Roast Pepper, Sopressata, Piccante, Rosemary). It was amazzinggggg and had all my favorite ingredients, though the sopressata got salty towards the end cause I ate half a pie.
A large pie is enough for 2 STARVING women, or 3 regular-sized people.
It's a 8-10 min walk to the waterfront so it'd be nice to bring the pizza over to eat there.. if you make it that far. Just ask the girls in the front for plates and lots of napkins cause it's gunna get messy 😉
