  1. For my money, this is the best $2 slice around. The sauce has nice flavoring and it's not a traditional New York style slice. Crust is just a bit thicker. Maybe you like that, as I do. Maybe you do not. Well, you should give it a shot and see what you think. Not that I am telling you what to do or anything, but hey, just making a suggestion. Just a suggestion, my friend. Do whatever you want! (eat at frank's) Fin.

  2. Decent slice of cheap pizza. On a whim before catching my flight out of NYC, I decided to grab a piece of NYC pizza. Their signs proudly proclaim "since 1949" so I figured it would be okay.

Quick service and friendly staff. Definitely not a memorable slice but does the job of you need a quick, cheap bite.

I got the pizza slice with mushrooms, onions, sausage, pepperoni and cheese. I feel the sauce could have been more flavorful. Cheese was used very sparingly. I did like the crust.

  3. i use to go to school around here and i ate here almost every single day, the pizza is cheap and very very good, i watched it go from 1.25 per slice to 2 per slice, the price climbed 25 cents every few years or every year i forgot, but its still worth it and very cheap, they are not cheap on the cheese and the slices are thick, not too much dough but just enough, they are not cheap on napkins either like other places are, the place is kind of small and can get tight on school days, making it almost impossible to get to the counter without brushing students sitting down, the food around this neighborhood for students is not this cheap and offers a cheap alternative for students on a cheap budget (most are).  i've gone here for years and it still tastes the same.  they are quite inconsistent about cutting the pie up, there are always uneven portions, some big slices and some really small slices, i had to tell them i want this particular slice because i don't want to get short changed

  4. All around Baruch there is a sign for $1 pizza. While that's great for my pockets there is something about an authentic looking pizza shop that makes you want to spend the extra cash…for a real new York slice, am I right? I mad the decision to grab a corner Sicilian slice and garlic knots before class one night.

I asked for an extra hot slice so that the time I got to my classroom, my slice would be a little more than warm. I couldn't wait for  gooey cheese either. Boy was I disappointed. I'm sorry but my slice was just warm when I got to class and it seemed like my slice was old. My pizza wasn't even hot enough for the cheese to move or dangle from my bite. I was not happy but hungry so I ate it anyway. I moved on to the garlic knots and while soft and light they had too much garlic on it for me. It was drenched in garlic and oil that when I squeezed it, oil poured out. I ended up throwing them out which hurt my heart because I love bread!

This was not what I expected, but maybe I caught them on an off day. Atleast that's what I'm hoping. Because I'm a sucker for corner Sicilian slices I will make one more attempt before the semester ends. Hopefully my update it positive!

  5. I used to go to this tiny pizza place all the time when I was a student at Baruch College. The price has gone up slightly over the years, but is is still a reasonable $2 for a regular or a sicilian slice. What makes the slices good is the crispy crust and the rich, sweet tomato sauce.

  6. Okay-ish pizza place in Gramercy. Its a very small shop, with no tables and just a handful of stools and a corner shelf to the left hand side. Definitely not the best pizza in the city or even within the surrounding neighborhood. Even though the slices are big, they don't bake their pizzas thoroughly and the crust can still be a bit doughy especially on the inside. You might want to ask to re-bake the pizza for a bit if you want to avoid this doughiness.

  7. The pizza definitely didn't look good, but it was pretty good for $2. Good crust, decent sauce, skimpy on the cheese. They heated it up and it came out like warm. Part of that is my fault for not telling them to heat it back up.

so, not my favorite place but at $2 if I was craving pizza and walking by, I'd go again.

  8. Mom & pop pizza store. Very small with limited menu. Don't expect a gourmet rustic Italian pizza for 2 bucks.
