“Typically this style of pizza is in the lower east side so the UWS is lucky to have them.”
“If your a New Yorker and you like New York Pizza then you like Freddy and Peppers already (or as my buddy affectionatly calls it, Freddy P's).”
“The joint is small, but they have a huge selection – I had the Tex Mex and Chicken & Broccoli and they were both freakin' delicious.”

Right by Trader Joe's which was convenient for me. Grabbed a slice before food shopping. Small (literally 4 small tables) so not ideal for big groups and I can imagine not even ideal for one person if they are busy. I had a buffalo chicken slice and regular slice. They had other really yummy specialty slices but didn't seem as fresh so I opted for the buffalo chicken since I like spice in my life. Both slices were heated up to perfection when I told them to make them crispy. Regular slice was good but not the best. I actually enjoyed my buffalo chicken slice but felt they were really skimping on the chicken! Smh…so for that and being super, duper small they get a 3. I def would go back though…would like to try the wheat pizza w/various toppings amongst other ones. Also, I saw that they deliver for anyone in the area.
Not alot of seating, deffinetly not fancy but there pizza is great.. people complain about how there's not enough seating or its dirty…this ain't beverly hills it's New York. U grab a slice and go. Try it Ull be suprised.
Maybe I came in on a bad day, but I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from. They had a nice variety of pizza, but the interior of the place is tiny and doesn't look like a restaurant. It's not decorated in any way to make it seem like a welcoming place to sit down and eat. There aren't any tables for more than 2 people.
The pizza had clearly been sitting out all day. It was dry and greasy and made me sick a few hours after eating it. It didn't seem that clean overall, and the pizzas weren't even labeled. You had to point to what you wanted or guess. There is definitely better pizza in the city that is covered in good pizza places. What a disappointment this was.
Good pizza. We got a plain and Thai chicken slice.
They were completely out of any other meat options. That was a little surprising, since it was about 7pm, so they were still quite a few hours away from closing. The small establishment did seem rather busy though.
I originally wanted to try the buffalo chicken slice, but the Thai Chicken kind of tastes like Buffalo Chicken with cilantro & red onions. Nice & spicy.
The plain slice was decent. It made me feel a little nostalgic as it reminded me of all the pizza parties as a child. You know the pizzas with very thin crust and cheese that doesn't pull away from the crust.
Both are not bad.
You can also make a reservation, although I don't know why you would need to do that for a quick slice.
Also, if you plan to pay with card, it is a $10 minimum.
Great slice of NY pizza, really busy and you might not get s seat since space is limited, but well worth the $3.50-$4 for a slice, great sauce to cheese ratio all on top of a good crust.
I don't know if it was just the particular night we went, but they barely had anything ready and it didn't sound like there was anything else going to be made for the time being although they were to be open for another 4 hours… Very strange.
Otherwise, we had the Thai Slice and a plain cheese slice. The Thai had a peanut sauce, chicken, onions, cilantro, and red pepper flakes. It was a little too spicy and almost tasted like buffalo chicken (which is what we originally wanted).
The cheese slice was good, but not $2.75 good. Better than a dollar slice. I think it's sweet price point would be $1.50-2.00.
I probably wouldn't come back again. Can't predict what slices they'd have ready.
We found this place using the Yelp app in desperate need for food after the Global Citizens Festival on the Great Lawn.
My husband and I both went with plain slices and had totally different takes. I enjoyed my slice. It was large and cheesy. I thought the crust was nice and doughy without being too crispy. He thought his slice was too soggy.
Not quite the 4 star experience we were expecting. I wouldn't seek this place out but it does the trick if you are in the area and in need of a slice.
4 stars due to its B letter health rating.. which I'm not going to think much of!
This is a VERY small family owned NY pizza place, with about 4 tables and a working, semi-clean bathroom. Their menu has a lot of options (vegan pizza too!) with decent prices. I just ordered a slice of freshly made pepperoni pizza for $3.75, quickly ate it, and was on my way. Did I mention how delicious it was!?
