  1. Stopped in for a drink and quick lunch.  Plenty of people with laptops finding a spot to work.  Something that always irks me about places like this is when one person with a laptop takes up an entire booth for hours on end.

    The bar was cute, and service was friendly for the most part.  The bartender socialized a lot and was MIA a few times when we wanted refills or new drinks.  However, the food made up for it.  I'd recommend the lobster roll if you like seafood!

  2. Have been going here since its soft opening over a year ago. I feel that it used to be a five star place but has since naturally declined as more customers came and the consistently attractive deals moved on.

    On a Monday, I was able to get a burger and a beer for $10. I think that's a great deal. However, my party's food did not come out all at once and since we were sitting outside our food was cold by the time everything came out. The environment is definitely great for after work and I'd love to go again–I just might not order a full meal.

  3. No! Stop! Turn away while you still can!

    Faux-Machismo is on display here and helps answer the question, "I wonder what happened to my high school ex?" He's here. He is absolutely here.

    An American Psycho vibe permeates the place. D-bags in suits walk around adjusting their shirt cuffs, and checking their looks. Guys in their mid-30s prowl. Be careful, all, this is a place where you black out and wake up naked on a stranger's couch.

    The music is loud, the vibe is pretentious.  Left within minutes. I suggest you steer clear of this tiny dick shit show and go somewhere else.

    Free coat check was nice.

  4. We came here for Sunday brunch,  we picked this location because we wanted a place to watch the soccer match.  We were a group of eight and they set us at a large table in front of the TV. I was the last one to arrive so by the time I got there most of my table had finished their food. Based on their recommendations I ordered the dirty egg sandwich,  I substituted the guacamole for fresh avocado slices. The sandwich seems like your basic bacon, egg and cheese but the quality of the ingredients took the simple sandwich to the next level. The bread used is really tasty, and the spicy tomato jam really brings all of the ingredients together. The bacon was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crispness and of course I loved the avocado! The dirty egg sandwich was just delicious!! I was excited to try the fries because they were cut thin just how I like it,  but entirely too salty! This was disappointing since I love fries but could not eat these due to the insane amount of salt. The service here was not exactly great as our waitress was not really around. I still think this place has great potential and would love to come back here to enjoy the cool outdoor space and have another amazing dirty egg sandwich!

  5. I love how many bars are in Williamburg and this one didn't disappoint. I came here for some drinks after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. The place was crowded and the music loud, everyone was having a great time.
    Since it wasn't too cold we decided to go hang out and the bar there was empty which was great. We got a few drinks while we watched some drunk people play ping pong.

  6. This is what Brooklyn is all about. Large spaces, chill atmosphere, and most importantly—beer.

    FREEHOLD is the ideal weekend-dare i say- hotspot? Honestly, if you're with a group of friends on a Saturday night or even a couple of friends looking for something to do during the weekend day, there's always something going on at FREEHOLD.

    There's a ton of wide open couch spaces inside the main bar area, a huge outdoor patio where they sometimes have pingpong, outdoor picnic tables, and beer games set up, and even a cute little cute cafe next door attached to the place. What I love about this place the most is that it feels like trendy Brooklyn.

    On the weekends, there's always something going on. Last Saturday afternoon, i went to get work done in their cafe. While i was typing away, i could here the bass from the DJ. So cool and wish I was there to party than get work done. A definite go-to of Brooklyn.

  7. ++++
    – Board games; they are a phenomenal way to pass the time while waiting for food
     (Don't invite me tho, b/c you WILL get destroyed in Sorry and Connect 4)
    – This is a great place for a social hang out with friends
      (come during the week tho)

    +++
    – Between the movies, board games, video games, bar games, alcohol, there is so much to do here
    – This is one of the best ciders I have ever tasted (forgot the name)

    ++
    – portions are pretty big
    – mussels were delicious

    +
    – Dusted truffle fries were cool
    – The wife enjoyed the lobster roll

    – There's no sign over the entrance. If you come here after hours, it's up to you to randomly go through the wooden doors

  8. I want to pick this place up and relocate it in Buffalo, NY because I love it that much. We ended up going back here everyday we were in town for at least a coffee.

    The coffee shop is so cute, and I love that it is dog friendly while waiting in line for your order. I think we tried most of the coffee and expresso items on the menu by the time our trip was over. The coffee is way better than anything I've ever gotten in buffalo. We also ordered a lox sandwich on an everything bagel which was absolutely mouth watering and was loaded with salmon.

    The lobby bar is like a Starbucks seating area on steroids but with bartenders instead of baristas. The place is huge and had a relaxed atmosphere. I definitely didn't feel hip enough to be there. Everybody is on their trendy Apple computers pretending to work while sitting in lounge spaces. We went on a Friday night sat at the bar and ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 local brews, and 2 mixed drinks and the total was only $40! God bless happy hour.
