  1. Great new addition to Manhattan.  It is a combination of a Europa, Chipotle and Noodles & Co.  I personally love the fact that they serve food with integrity.  Hormone/Antibiotic free meat, quinoa, brown rice, vegetarian and vegan options, etc.
The service was tremendously friendly, helpful and excited about their food!  I tried a tex-mex bowl.  It had kale, quinoa, corn, red beans, green onions all tossed in a chipotle vinaigrette.  It was full of flavor and there was PLENTY of food.  It was enough for two meals.  It was just over $11 because I added chicken but for the amount of food…totally worth it!!

They serve pizzas, salads, soups, etc.  It was quick and easy.  Highly recommend.

  2. It was open in the neighborhood for a while now and I wanted a salad but didn't want to walk all the way to chopped on 44th, so I decided to give this spot a try.

Man oh man, I was not disappointed. It has become my new favorite lunch spot because their salads are delicious. I feel like the salads are a little cheaper than the usual. I get the Santa Fe salad that has avocados and free range chicken for just 10.79!

They're also super fast and efficient. For once grabbing a salad and trying to be healthy isn't draining my lunch hour.

They also carry soups, hot salad bowls, and other nutritious snacks!

  3. A Fresh & Co has finally opened in this part of Midtown East (46th/Lexington)! Catering mostly to a lunch crowd, there are several options for health conscious eaters including soups, sandwiches, and my personal favorite – hot quinoa bowls. Ordering a quinoa bowl can be confusing but you can get through by initially finding the right line and following multiple employees' directions for what to do next. First, you order the quinoa bowl at the salad station..there are a few options with predetermined toppings/sauce. Then, you move towards the payment counter to the next station (this is where I got confused) where someone cooks your ingredients with the option of quinoa or rice. Lastly, you pay at the end of the counter. Fresh & Co accepts LevelUp so make sure to use that to take advantage of the first-time customer credit and reward system.

I tried the Thai quinoa bowl with turkey. There wasn't much meat and the turkey was ground (is that a thing?) so I initially couldn't distinguish the turkey from the quinoa. My friend and I did a few taste tests and finally decided that the small brown bits were turkey. There isn't much seating available but since this is a lunch spot next to many offices, there are usually a few tables open. The tables have a nice plant decoration touch.

  4. Fresh&Co is an NYC based chain serving "fast casual" food with a fresh, sustainable, and local spin. Compared to most fast casual chains, Fresh&Co is superior for many vegan and vegetarian friendly options and healthy "fad food" like kale, chia, quinoa, tofu, matcha, and other items your spell check isn't familiar with. This particular location fills a hole in the company map, covering a nice section of Midtown East. The location is bright, shiny, clean, and staffed by really friendly and helpful people. There are only fourteen seats, making this a good grab and go location rather than a meet me here option. The store is a bit narrow – as you enter, registers are on your right, the condiments and utensils to your left. There is a grab and go cold case of salads, white bread sandwiches, fruit, and drinks to the left. To the right, there is a hot quinoa bowl station, the salad station, the soups, and lastly the hot sandwiches. The salads tend to have the longest lines.

Service is friendly, quick to ask and answer questions, and are cheerful even among the mean cubicle drones that frequent their lines. Prices are affordable for Midtown, with almost every item on the menu under $10.

Food is overall A-Ok/good considering the price point. I particularly like the tex-mex chicken quinoa bowl, the mushroom soup, the side fall quinoa and squash salad, fruit salads, and the hot sandwiches. I'm not a fan of the cold grab&go sandwiches because I don't think their bread holds up well. They also do breakfast here, which is a nice touch. They also offer coffee and tea and mini cookies and treats. I like that their food is low on fillers and preservatives (like cornstarch, flour, excess salt, excess onion or potato) and they have excellent ingredient quality. Food does not tend to be over-sauced, which makes this a good healthy and clean kind of lunch.

Best of luck on your new location!

  5. I loved the coconut-just stick the straw in the soft spot and sip-so delicious.
Clean, fresh, bright atmosphere. Warm welcoming faces. I ordered the crispy mozzarella chicken w/basil. Everything was delicious.
