  1. Visit Date: August 17, 2014

My sister and I stopped here for a fast lunch before seeing Cinderella on Broadway. The place looked clean, the service was very fast and there were a lot of healthy choices on the menu.

We both had tomato & mozzarella paninis. They were good, not memorably good, but definitely not horrible.

Overall if you're looking for a fast healthy bite to eat these little stores set up throughout various locations in Manhattan seem like a good go to for that.

  2. OK. This was a pretty solid lunch and in general I recommend it. We must have hit it a the busiest time because it was crowded. They have this system set up to get people in and out as fast as possible and for the most part it works. We managed by nothing short of a miracle, to get a table.

The line can be a little confusing to one who has never been but we managed. I got myself a bowl of veggies and quinoa, stir fried with custom ingredients. It was hearty and filling and good.

It is what it is. A fast lunch for Manhattan workers but it worked for us.

  3. Picked up a salad here last night on way home. Guy behind salad bar super friendly and helful. Thanks Yaya! He explained the whole deal on creating your own salad.

I had spring greens with 4 free toppings, mushroom, brocoli, tomato and chic peas. I added Feta for $1 and grilled chicken $2.75. Big salad but I was really surprised at $13 price tag! Anyway, cashier was sweet and friendly too and the salad was fresh and tasty but too pricey.

Really nice staff and fresh food so I would eat it again. Next time though they have set salads that are around $9.75 which is way more resonable for a salad.

  4. I stopped by on the way to run some errands. Fresh and co. is very similar to another chain that I like-pret a manger. I got a tomato and mozzarella cheese on a baguette with assorted greens. It was delicious and quick. I prefer these types of places as opposed to fast food burger places since the food may be healthier. [I could be fooling myself.] I would recommend and return.

  5. I love the concept of Fresh & Co and they have always delivered when I need a healthy, quick lunch without the time to go through a sit-down place. The manager at this location definitely runs this joint with an iron fist, as I noticed her being very diligent with her staff about service and cleanliness.  The Fresh & Co concept itself offers you a range of different foods from quinoa bowls to soups and paninis. Runs you about $15 incl tax which I find to be decent value. It gets crowded though and I recommend getting take-away instead of sitting down at this location.

  6. I am always searching for a healthy "fast" breakfast alternative when I have early work meetings. I stumbled upon this place and was pretty impressed. Lots of healthy made to order omelette and egg white options. Also had oatmeal and quinoa with fresh fruit options. The ingredients were fresh and service as pretty fast.

Pro- healthy and relatively good priced breakfast. Starbucks will cost you more.

Cons- cook your egg whites next to turkey bacon which grossed me out.

  7. Everything we had here was pretty healthy and good! I absolutely loved the bang kok salad with spicy turkey and cabbage and quinoa. The turkey chilli was nice and rich and full of beans and turkey. The fallafel salad was just OK. The turkey and cheese pannini with avocado was awesome. I'd skip the carrot soup since it lacked a bit of flavor and could have used some salt. I like that the service was pretty fast but it is confusing which side/who you order everything from. Also, they only have one (!) bathroom which was always taken. In the end, it's great to run into a healthy fast food restaurant for pretty good prices in NYC so can't complain too much!

  8. Went in with pretty low expectations (not much of a salad guy) but was extremely impressed. Got a salad and just threw on the stuff that looked good with their sesame dressing and avocado. Relatively cheap ($11) and enough food for a meal.
