If Sushi Yasuda is a Bentley then Fusion D'Lite is a Ford.
While Ford Motors makes decent cars for the average person, it does it's job and nothing more.
First, there's no curb appeal; the restaurant looks terrible outside and next to a bowling alley. If my friend didn't take me here and recommend it, I wouldn't have given it a chance.
I will admit, the staff was friendly and attentive. Great service.
BYOB. No liquor license means you go nearby and pick up your own beer and sake.
Unfortunately, the sushi offering was pedestrian. No toro, no uni on a Tuesday. There were plenty of the standard fish (tuna, yellow tail, salmon, eel, etc) and a bunch of creative rolls. Fusion D'Lite also offers brown rice options.
If you're a sushi snob this is considered to be a Teriyaki Boy or average sushi. This isn't a Yasuda or Sushi of Gari type of joint.
In summary, I enjoyed my meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. If you life nearby, then I'm sure this is the best sushi option available.
IFHTP 1
This place has amazing, fresh sushi. I've tried a number of dishes from gyoza, tempura avocado roll, yellowtail with slices of fresh jalapeño. The scream roll is nice because it is basically an ahi tuna finely diced like a tuna tartare wrapped and topped with tomato and jalapeño. Delicious because you get the spicey flavor without the siracha mayo. I'm not crazy about the avocado tempura roll because I got it to go and by the time I was home it was soggy. I'm also not crazy about the color. It was pale and I like to think it would have been more appetizing in a golden hue. Lunch specials give you a ton of quality food (2 rolls and a soup or salad) for $7. They usually let you add or change options without any fuss. Today I had some sort of special roll, and a special appetizer. The special roll was a tempura roll covered in spicy tuna and avocado. It was epic. $12.The appetizer was cucumber slices topped with spicy salmon and a jalapeño slice. $6. This along with a miso soup was $20. I over ordered but it was totally worth it.
Calm little place in the neighborhood. At least when we went!
They have a menu filled with a lot of options. Sushi was good! I forgot which ones we got but I remember we got the spring roll sushi cause it was such an interesting concept. Who puts a spring roll in sushi? It was very flavorful and fried.
Our waitress was very patient with our indecisiveness and was okay with all of our requests. I got the iced tea because of the things I saw on Yelp about it. Was definitely good! I'm a fan of lemoney drinks so I was happy!
Ordered from here twice and came away with the impression that it's a decent dinner option. The first time we ordered they forgot to give us our edamame. I mentioned that when I called the second time and they did give it to us for free which was nice. I've gotten the salmon with udon and the soba noodles with tofu and veggies. My husband ordered the wings with chili sauce (he loved the sauce and just poured it over everything), as well as shrimp shumai. We both got salads (mine came with my noodles) and they were the saddest salads ever. I can't believe they charge $3 for it. It was literally some leaves of lettuce and sliced red onion – that's it.The other food was good and I found the portions very reasonable. I just think there is better in the area so I wouldn't be in a rush to order from here in the near future.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. This is a small place that you are not drawn to if you drive by. The interior is clean and simple. But the food is OUTSTANDING. I have been here twice in two weeks, once for dine-in and once for pickup. The service was outstanding both times. The rolls (both generic and specialty are TOP NOTCH AND HIGH QUALITY. The fish is fresh. I used to think Nagoya down the street was the best thing in a 10-20 mile radius, but shockingly enough Fusion D'lite is even better. You cannot go wrong here if you are looking for good sushi and efficient and pleasant service. Will continue to go back and get take out. I am so happy with this place! My favorite roll is the ISO SNOW MAKI 🙂
