It was very silly of me to think I was actually going to find a specific white wine here- Vermentino. To be exact, client screamed : "Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Vermentino 2012!" We knew this was going to be tough to find. I was determined to get any producer at any year as long as it was a Vermentino grape OR worst case scenario- Sauvignon Blanc.
Anyway, as I highly suspected there was a very small selection of white and red wines and of course the store didn't have what I was looking for. When I asked the store clerk if he can recommend something similar … hmm well, I thought his lost face was priceless.
Overall the liquor store is not impressive. You certainly cannot build a fascinating mini bar for your home from these shelves! Very limited selection in tequilas, rums and cognac too. Definitely a mom-pop shop.Perhaps, I will be back to buy a lotto ticket.
