Certainly no a farmstand, but a deli and nothing beyond extraordinary.
Lunch call at 4pm and I opt for a different restaurant/deli to grant a review in Yelp, which working in the Columbus Circle area for nearly five years I have not patronized Gem's. There are no take-out menus available as requested and with only a sticker of the business contact info to base my review in conjunction of no business cards and no take-out menus. Gem's Circle Farm cannot compete with nearby Morton Williams Supermarket despite both operates 24/7.
The salad bar was still operational at 4pm for the late lunchers who work the late shift, like myself, but disappointedly upon return to my workplace canteen area my food was cold as it was not even lukewarm. I've choosen mozzarella sticks, potatos, one meatball which were cold as this deli is only within two blocks walking distance.
Gem dude: Change the name from Gem's Circle Farm to Gem's Deli!
The name of this place mis-represents what this place truly is which is your standard corner deli owned by Koreans, operated by Puerto Ricans with Mexicana Chefs – what a diverse Deli this is. Anywho they have your standard fare of deli groceries items, a small inexpensive but very nice selection of assorted florals, a nice selection of very fresh and in season cut fruit at the cold food bar with midtown prices per pound (not cheap), some really tasty homemade Chicken noodle soup $4 and hot grill food items (Construction Workers has the lines long for this section all day) so I never order from the hot food grill section.
Customer service is speedy ringing and getting you out the door since there's not a lot of standing room for checking out at the register.
Credit & Debit Cards accepted with a purchase of a $10 minimum.
I end up passing by this deli often as I am transferring trains, but I've always found the check out a bit slow for this type of establishment. It has a lot of standard and true snacks and beverage items to go. I go here out of convenience for the most part.
