  1. Baby sister to The Lodge, General Store is the perfect spot for a coffee, juice, and a sammich. Counter seating only and there's no A/C, but I've yet to encounter any obstacle that could keep me away. The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients and great bread and their fresh smoothies and juices are delicious. I usually try to go veggie on juice/smoothies, but if its hella hot out try the Wimbly- the coconut is so refreshing! There are a ton of vegetarian/vegan options as well as quality meat choices if you're the carnivorous type. Pull up a stool, whip out your paper fan, and enjoy window watching the street creatures as you indulge your taste buds.

  2. Got the Cathedral Pines (chicken, mozz, peppers) and Colvin Rock (roast beef, cheddar, mayo, lettuce, tomato) here and was unimpressed. Sure, the sandwiches are big but this is not the case where the whole was greater than its parts. My sandwich felt super imbalanced–tons of lettuce, a smear of mayo in one corner, paper thin slice of tomato, and equal parts roast beef and cheese so that mostly what I tasted was cheese and lettuce. The bread was supposedly rosemary garlic but had no hint of those flavors and just kept crumbling. I was told the chicken sandwich was pretty meh as well. I honestly think I can get something comparable at a regular deli.
