I love this place. I have come here to order Nachos and I have fallen in love. First off, the chips and salsa they give you while you are waiting for your food to come is amazing. The salsa has a sort of sweet tangy flavor that just makes you want to ask for more when its done. I ordered the Nachos Supremo and I was so pleased with everything. The nachos were layered and piled up with chicken, beef and chorizo and a combination of yummy things like cucumbers and crema Mexicana. The cooks here do a great job making the food taste great. The burrito bowl is great too which my lady ordered and I watched her eat. The fruit smoothies are amazing also and taste very fresh. I plan to eat everything here slowly, day by day. I need to try the Horchata for sure.
This small and clean restaurant (20 seats only) has both Tex and traditional Mexican food. Their horchata is fantastic, chicken with green sauce is with a great rich and balanced flavor, and their black beans is the best I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant.
This place is just great! Small tucked away, behind the park and the Chase Bank. About 7-8 small tables, clean and a super sweet waitress. The menu is pretty extensive with many Mexican dishes and American fare as well!
I had already eaten pretty badly for lunch so I had to have a salad for dinner. Honestly, you don't see too much salad around here (which is A-OK) but working long shifts and eating poorly takes a toll!
The chips and salsa were very good, the salsa had a bit of a sweetness to it, I also had a tamarindo drink, a little too sweet for my taste – I had them add some water!
I was just going to go with a salad, which was really good, had some nice greens, ripe tomatoes and cucumbers along with half an avocado. I couldn't resist – Barbacoa Taco (goat) I love goat, it was fresh and tender with that mild gamey flavor that I just love!
So if you don't mind walking a little bit off the main strip, come here it's an intimate little spot with great food and service!
I can't believe I've lived just 2 blocks away from this place for 4 years, and only started eating from there 3 months ago…I have to stop overlooking whats right under my nose.
Love their fresh juices and their agua frescas especially the tamarindo and horchata. Make sure you try the goat, i prefer it on a tostada. They are very generous with fillings for tacos and tostadas…The flautas are also great.,Even the tortilla chips are made fresh and still warm when served with the great guacamole.
Service is always great, I ate there twice and ordered delivery once…Never had any issues. This has quickly become my neighborhood favorite.
It's a small restaurant, possibly 8 tables max, but we like supporting family owned businesses. Food was freshly prepared.
We ordered a chicken burrito, a torta and a couple of tacos to go. L also had a watermelon smoothie while we waited. He really enjoyed it; I normally dislike any nonalcoholic drink that is watermelon based, they're usually flavorless, but this was quite nice.
The chicken burrito was good, not the best I've had. L mentioned that one of the tacos was a bit dry but after pouring a bit of the green sauce, he said it was really good. The red and green sauces aren't very spicy but they're quite flavorful.
They do have daily specials as well as lunch specials so I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. I do hope they work on the "B" health rating, even though it did look much cleaner than the average Latino restaurant.
