  1. I had an awesome double stack burger and shoestring fries at Genuine Suprette, a trendy new take on the American diner. Like at a fast food restaurant, you order from the limited menu up at the counter and then sit at any of the available tables where your food is delivered to you. The service was very friendly (and patient) with our group as we figured out what we wanted to eat and drink. Prosecco goes very well with burgers, I discovered. 🙂

I'd like to go back and try the bar downstairs, too!

  2. I tried their double stack burger and had it delivered. I love that they use a martin potato roll for the bun just like shake shack. The meat and flavor of the sauce and cheese were on point. It is a little pricey but definitely worth trying out.

  3. Woohoo!  This place is completely different from all the food in the neighborhood, as all the food in the neighborhood is Chinese or Italian.

So this is american food known for their burgers and drinks which is downstairs – which is an interesting place.  This was for my b-day and we hung out here for a while enjoying ourselves and just hanging out.  We ended up getting dessert on our way out and calling it  a night.

  4. Genuine Superette is decent. They serve the traditional American cuisine of burger and fries. I've dined here a few times for lunch, and have had the chicken sandwich and the burgers. It's good, but not worth the price. The burger is sized and tastes almost exactly like Shake Shack, but double in price. And the fries are lackluster. Depending on the day, the chicken can taste a little dry in the chicken sandwich. There are just so many other options nearby…

  5. Genuine superette is genuinely a great time. It is a chic take of a diner, and far more  trendy than its nearby tourist trap restaurants. Young Locals stop here for their Cali-inspired fare and to hang out with friends in a fun casual setting.

Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh-the sandwiches, burgers, tacos, ice cream sandwiches, and floats. The best part is the veggie/fruit juices and juice-inspired cocktails. Be like Dorothy and go for the Emerald City.

Minus a star because I wouldn't come here to impress your in laws… but it is charming!

Don't forget to check out the secret liquorette downstairs.

  6. Erin M never disappointed me. We always love spots that are casual with good food and most importantly drinks!!!

I heard that Public and Genuine Superette share the same owner? The food here is cheaper and you can taste that they used quality meat and ingredients.

I ordered the tuna tacos.. As I was so hungry, I just dive in and it was gone in 5 mins.. The tuna is fresh, the taco shell is crunchy and is perfect!! Top with guacamole and lime can't go wrong..

Drinks here are amazing!! I love cocktails so restaurant with good cocktails always gets me!! It was strong and tasty!

** you order from the cashier and then they bring you the food.

We were still hungry after drinks and we ordered the ice cream sandwich to share since it's huge! After quarter bites, man I want the whole thing!!!!

You can see me coming back some time! 🙂

    ICE CREAM SANDWICH!!!!

  7. First time here for a mid-afternoon snack. Ordered the Baja style ahi tuna tacos, spicy smokehouse burger, and the spicy grilled chicken sandwich with fries. I really enjoyed the tuna tacos!! The taste was refreshing on a summer day, and the amount of tuna was generous. My friends also said their entrees were good! The fries were ok — nothing special.

We also ordered the ice cream sandwich and the smores ice cream. The ice cream sandwiches were ok….but the smores ice cream was good 🙂

Also! Great and friendly service by the Irish guy working there this afternoon.

  8. I ordered from Genuine Superette through Caviar for the first time.  Holy crap I am in love.  I ordered the buttermilk battered chicken with avocado, apple celeriac slaw, and samba mayo with a side of Aces high dill pickle fries.  The sandwich was succulent, not greasy, and chock full of flavor.  Every bite was a delight.  I have never tried celeriac slaw before but I can say that combined with apple and the samba mayo this made the perfect combination inn the expertly prepared buttermilk battered chicken.  Even the bun was perfect.  Super soft potato roll that held together nicely.  I could order from here every day.  Then I tried the dill pickle fries.  I have had fried pickle chips but never before had I the distinct pea sure of a fried spear.  Light and airy and brimming with the briny pickle flavor is a delicate light batter.  I want to go here and try everything on the menu.  Love at first bite.
