“Also, It doesn't hurt that they start you off with pretzels and leave you with cotton candy to leave!”
“While I could not eat it due to my gluten and egg allergies, my friend reported that the pretzel was soft but had a nice crunch to it.”
“Me and my friend tried the Salmon Pita Salad and it was phenomenal, however, the service surpassed it.”

I used to like this place but over the past few years it has gone downhill over and over again. The food isn't as good as I remember it first being… The service isn't that great either. My entire family dined here on a weekend and the service couldn't have been worse. Our waitress was covering more tables than she could handle and the kitchen wasn't keeping up which caused our food to come out incorrect, overcooked, and cold. We were all very disappointed.
This place has nice ambiance, loved the bar area. Cozy and quiet on a Monday which was the scene I was looking for. The service was also very friendly and helpful. I asked the server for her opinion on my meal and dessert and she made great suggestions!
Everything was really good, with just a few things that could have made it better. For instance, They bring you a pretzel with mustard instead of bread. Awesome idea, I enjoyed the pretzel. But they only brought out one. It would have been nice if since we were two people, we each got a pretzel instead of constantly having to ask for more.
For the appetizers they were good and tasted great. We ordered the pita chips and hummus and edamame. But the downside is they gave us so much hummus and not enough pita. Either give less hummus, or give more pita chips. We felt weird having to ask for more pita, so we dipped our pretzel in the hummus to make due.
Dinner was really good, my boyfriend had the half roasted chicken with asparagus and I had the seared tuna wrap. No complaints here at all! Perfect portions of each and both tasty.
For dessert we had the apple tart which was also deelish!
We were let down though because of the cotton candy. Which mind you was one of the main reasons we decided to drive out and give this place a try. They apparently clean the cotton candy machine at a certain point when they feel the restaurant is slow. So I guess since we were there at a slow time I missed out on getting cotton candy. 🙁
With a few minor improvements from my notes above, would totally make me a fan!
Came here for an easy dinner with some family and friends. Everything we had was good but get the chicken pot pie, better than my mom's that is for sure.
Their drinks are weak . The service lacked . Food that I ordered was warm and waiting time was long.
The best thing about Grillfire…the staff. They make everyone feel very welcomed! Every bartender, waitress, manager, and owner is excellent. Low key place, come as you are. I recommend the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and the George Martin Chopped Salad. Then again, those are just my personal favorites. I've had just about everything on the menu, everything is great. All of the desserts are great too. Great place to bring the whole family. And if you bring the kids, I recommend the DIY S'mores for dessert! Also, It doesn't hurt that they start you off with pretzels and leave you with cotton candy to leave! Plus..everyone loves unlimited mimosas for brunch, am I right?!

Well on this particular night after dropping my daughter off at a sweet sixteen in long Beach, I went to the app most used on my cell. Guess?? you got it yelp!! I had like 4hrs to kill….Movies not an option. So I ended up in this place….Had 3 stars I figured get some apps watch some TV and that would be it. I peeked in through the front window and it didn't seem busy, that was strange because its Friday night. So I sit at the bar which only had like to others dining area was little more than half full. So I went with the safe bet, so I thought wings… they came out so fast, and they DID NOT LOOK FRESH !! maybe fresh out a microwave.. they tasted how they looked…..So I ordered some sliders, the meat was very bland and the presentation was so poor they were not very appetizing. While talking to the bartender who was very attentive, well I was really the only one at the bar about why the place was empty he really didn't have an answer. What he did tell me was that this was a chain…so bottom line would I come again probably not. Almost forgot this bar was in a prime location….
One Sunmer Sunday, around noon, I had the most uncomfortable date here. Thank goodness this spot was so awesome that it more than made up for the shallow man that sat across from me.
The atmosphere is very casual and it's great for families and couples alike. (Just make sure your date isn't a douchebag or you'll have to play that game called "Let Me Show You How I Can Smile And Ignore Your Stupidity", it's a hard game to play when your opponent is so…armmmm…tough?
The waitress was lovely even though she doubled as barmaid and cashier. Who said understaffed and overworked? Not I.
Barrels of mimosa but I didn't appreciate the obvious lack of prosecco (I'm not an alcoholic) in it. It tasted like simply orange juice (not the brand). I wish she had played nicer and added a dash of any of the cool dudes like Johnny or Jack (lol). However she more than accommodated my thirst and taste by being very "free handed" with the fake bubbly on my second round.
I ordered an omelette and homefries. I love eggs done any which way but I had never had homefries. I don't wish to have them again. Apparently it was good, I just don't care for them. My very very large omelette was very very tasty.
That boy I came with had egg and skirt steak, he said it was good but not better than he would have made it **rolls eyes**
I like the spot and I'll be back but thankfully not with Mr. Killjoy.
The End (for Mr. Killjoy not for this lovely establishment)
I give the place overall 4 stars.. However the hostess tonight I give 3 stars or less because there were open tables and we were waiting to be seated as she chatted away. We almost left when the bar opened up and we sat there instead. The bartender was very nice and served us promptly.
The food was absolutely delicious but also I believe it's overpriced. My friend got a burger fries and a beer and it was $20+, I got a Cobb salad which was one of the best I've had anywhere. It came with both chicken and steak which both were juicy and very easily to slice. They had just the right amount if bacon with minimal fat and blue cheese.
The ambiance is nice although it's small but that's expected in rvc. The music is not to loud but you can still hear it. The drinks are great and I would definitely return … Just make sure you check the prices!
