I didn't actually eat here. I stopped by for a quick drink because I was waiting for a friend. I had a glass of wine and a diet soda.
Right away, the bartender even gave me a thing of chips with salsa, which was too nice of him. But the salsa was delicious.
He also was super friendly and nice to talk to while I waited.
All in all, it came out to $18, which isn't bad for NYC prices.
Also, the place was relatively empty (even though it's small) so you can usually find a spot to sit down. The menu did look delicious and I hope to return to try the food one day!
My God this place has tanked since we ate here last, which was maybe two months ago. The salsa that you get with the chips is mediocre at best. The asada tostadas are nothing now but a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce with 3, maybe 4 skinny strips of beef on it for nearly $20!!!! The red snapper special was cooked very nicely and tender, but only had that lousy salsa that came with chips dumped on top. I am bummed and embarrassed for bringing my visiting friend here.
The only thing that saved the meal was the bar. Margaritas were still amazing and sizable. The jalapeno one really packed a nice punch.
Before you were hardly able to get a seat on a Friday night, now 1/2 the restaurant is empty.
