  1. So my new rating. I basically only eat here because its the closest spot near my house where I can get Japanese food that won't get me sick. That's about it. This place won't get you sick unlike shogun wok. If there is someplace better for sushi nearby please let me know.

  2. Good quality sushi but with limited seating and option variety. Their options were variations with one ingredient changed. For example, I could get a salmon roll, salmon avocado roll, or tuna salmon avocado roll, etc. I think they should expand their fish variety for sushi. Their prices were average and comparable to other sushi places. It can get crowded because this is a small restaurant. The staff is friendly though.

Overall, this is good for a one time stop for me. I'd rather go elsewhere or to a sushi buffet.

  3. We went here based on recommendations from locals.  We've tried other sushi restaurants in  the area, and so far Ginger Sushi is our favorite.  The sushi was great and the service was so friendly.  The chef sent over a special treat which was really appreciated.  Also, the prices were more than fair and overall the whole experience was exactly what we were looking for.  I can't wait to head back.

  4. The green salad was pretty boring and filled with huge pieces of iceberg lettuce and very little ginger dressing. It was also served on a plate which makes it harder to eat.  When I asked for more dressing they were prompt.

The tuna avocado roll was out of this world!  One  of the best I've had and the tuna was extremely fresh.  I didnt love my yellowtail scallion roll as the yellowtail was a bit on the strong side.

Overall a good experience and I would definitely return.  The customer service was great!

  5. Best sushi in the tri-state area! Yup a pretty bold statement but after eating at many of the top sushi places the freshness and quality of the sushi here is hands down the best. The sushi is consistently fresh.

If you go at peak times expect a wait but the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating!  There is only one sushi chef and his assistant.  This is definitely a situation where patience pays off. If you can catch Mr. Kim when he is not crazy busy sit at the bar and you will get some nice sushi surprises.

5 stars for the staff and fresh sushi!
