So I was on the North Sure with my brother and I was hungry. He took advantage and decided to finally take me to a pizzeria in Port Washington, Gino's was the spot. Nice size place, that was very inviting. The staff was very friendly also. They recommend some slices, but my mind was made up as soon as I got to the counter. "The Meat Stuffed Pie" please! That seemed like a good choice even though there where many to choose from. It was heavy and filled with cheese, already a good start. But eating it was what mattered and I must say it was a match made in heaven. The crust itself was flakey and flavorful, it wasn't hard or tough to eat. They heated it all the way through, I don't know if any of you Yelpers have gotten a thick slice that wasn't heated up all the way through, it's cold in the middle, I hate to ask the staff to heat it up again, I don't want to offend them. But the slice at Gino's was perfect and they used all type of meat like, ham, sausage, pepperoni and bacon. It's a meat lovers delight. I strongly recommend going. I might make more trips to my brothers to make more trips to Gino's. I would definitely try other slices to see if they compare to the Meat lover.
gotta love this place. it's the second best pizza in the port area. the first being salvatores. but if you're looking for a slice, this is the place to go. they have a huge selection of specialty pizzas and they all taste good. i've never tried anything else, but then again, i'm at a pizza place…why would i need to?
Yay for Gino's being open late on a Sunday night and having really friendly employees! I got a slice that had lots of spinach on it. I do not know the name. It was filling. Two slices for about 7 bucks – decent for a casual pizzeria like this one.
I'd say one of the better pizzerias in the area.
A bit pricey, but good.
Meat lovers slice is awesome.
Chicken tomato slice is awesome.
Chicken roll is good.
Margherita is good.
If you're in the mood for pizza and in the Port area, Gino's is a solid choice.
Such a cool old style pizzeria..loved it! Excellent chicken roll – dough was perfect texture and had lots of flavor and filled with cheese as well – didn't even need sauce.
The regular and Sicilian slice..well, they were average. Great Corona King lemon ice!
Would return for the rolls…crazy low price too!
My old neighborhood pizza place is still alive and kicking which is a good sign considering how pizza places PW has. Food is typical and service is friendly, I bet they still make a killing off the HS kids during the school year.
