decent pricing for lunch. I still think they have the best sushi, dense, with thick cuts of fish, wrapped tightly in seaweed. The only place i can find Salmon & Mango sushi and order 3 rolls of it and eat it in seconds. This is the place where i had sushi for the 1st time and fell in love.
Good lunch special, you get two rolls salad and soup for $11 also service was good. My rolls were fresh. Their mochi was not good but you win some you lose some!
Oh Ginza, how I wish I could give you five stars! I had been dying to try this sushi restaurant for over a year and I am finally able to say my tastebuds had the pleasure of this dining experience!
Y'all know my obsession with sushi pizza, so naturally I had to order their version of it, yummy pizza (with no crunch, not a fan), and it was good! Not the best sushi pizza I've ever had but it was simple, fresh, and flavorful. The star of my meal, however, was the fantasy sandwich, which is basically a spicy tuna sandwich with peanuts, avocado, and different sauces. Heaven.
So why four stars? I ordered pickup on Seamless and it said it would take 10-15 minutes to complete my order. I arrived 40 minutes after I placed my order and I still had to wait another 10 or so before my food was ready! Blasphemy! And it wasn't even busy inside! I also asked for extra ginger on the side but there was absolutely no ginger in the bag! Sadness.
Ginza, you won points with me. I want to eat your sandwich every day for the rest of my life.
The sushi here is pretty fresh and very delicious.
The prices are pretty standard, like any other sushi spot.
The service was great too, the waiters were attentive and made sure we were content.
This is usually my staple sushi spot when I'm in the area!
Ginza has changed management and all the menus have changed. I don't think it should be called a Japanese restaurant anymore because they serve everything from Chinese to Thai cuisine. The menu is a bit overwhelming especially with all the close-up HD photos of the food platters. Essentially, it's a major fusion of Asian cuisines that is quite mindboggling. It was definitely hard to choose what I wanted but I had the intention of coming here to eat some "Japanese" food. So I first wanted to order Beef Teriyaki. But the waiter clarified that it's actually beef negamaki, which is the rolled up beef with scallions. I guess the idea is interesting but I just couldn't understand why they can't just chop up the beef in pieces and serve it as regular beef teriyaki. I didn't ask so I proceeded to order the tofu teriyaki instead. I must say they are very generous with the portions. Maybe a bit too generous. However, I wasn't quite a fan of the teriyaki sauce they used. It tasted nothing like teriyaki and it was way too goo-ey. Overall, this place gave off a strange vibe. I can't seem to press my finger on what they try or want to be.
Service is bleh and food is bleh. The waiter and waitresses kept bugging us, asking if we were ready to order, and it hasn't even been 30 seconds since we sat down! They kept coming back every 10 seconds to ask if we're ready. They annoyed us a lot. I paid $12 for 2 rolls of sushi, and it was lunch special…I mean I guess it's reasonable considering Ginza's located uptown, but I didn't think it was worth it. I got the Philadelphia roll and salmon and avocado roll, and my gosh were they small. Overall, just a typical overpriced sushi restaurant
Just amazing. Everything on the menu is great. I've been three times for lunch and twice for dinner. Try any of their specialty rolls, which are so fresh and nicely done and you MUST try the sushi pizza! It's so so good i crave it often!! Just a great, quiet, 'hole in the wall' type of sushi place!
Their lunch special is great!!! The choice of two rolls with salad and miso soup for just $13 is great. My favorite rolls are the crunchy salmon and spicy tuna. Its fresh and I am completely satisfied. I have eaten in and the place is very clean and the staff are friendly & attentive. When I have a desire for sushi, I go to Ginza. Have yet to try a special roll, but definitely will next time.
