Giovanni Venti Cinque Restaurant
“Definitely a great place to eat after a visit to the metropolitan museum of art.”
“on the table, lunches to remember last night's opera, romantic dinners with dear ladies, dinner with my daughter after her first Grand Prix.”
“Most times when we order Dover Sole by the time it is deboned and brought back to the table it is cold, here we found that it was warm and delicious.”

Authentic Italian! One of those places with the more "mature" authentic Italian waiters. I had a pesto-mozzarella spaghetti which was delicious! Another person in our party had the shrimp diavlo pasta which she loved. All in all a great Italian place convenient to the Guggenheim museum with great service.
It seems like one of those hidden gems places. Old fashioned, loyal crowd, excellent food. New York the way it used to be!
Came here with my mom and aunt after going to the Met, since my plans of eating on their rooftop failed (it opens 5/12!) I'm pretty sure we were eating next to a man and his mistress. This is that kind of place. Dark, secluded, lots of old people, not terribly hip. The food was decent and I liked the sun-dried tomato spread they brought out with the bread, but probably would not return or recommend to any of my friends unless they were trying to carry out an affair.
