  1. Great new yogurt/smootie/juice/salad bar right on my block.  At first, I walked past the construction and rolled my eyes. Froyo is not exactly on trend anymore so I didn't understand why this place was opening up.

Go Cups is more than a 16 Handles. They have a great list of smoothies and juices as well as a salad bar for those don't like their food pureed.

The prices are pretty reasonable considering and the staff is helpful an polite.

Great for a post workout smoothie boost, a salad for lunch or a late night treat.

Go Cups…you have won me over.

  2. This is a moderately priced fro yo shop that offers a great chopped salad with a selection of vegetables. I've been going here to grab these for a few days a week. They are friendly and make your salad to order. You just have to grab the kind of base you want (romaine or mixed greens) and go forth. Four vegetables later you have to pay for the extras but I don't go crazy and its been a delicious, healthy and filling meal each time.

You can also get some smoothie things here with fresh fruits and with "boosters". The fro yo is not bad and they have at least 6 flavors in rotation usually. There is also a small selection of baked breakfast type goods and some fruit containers in the front.

  3. Frozen yogurt + what my dad calls "silver bowl salads" = not a bad place for a quick, healthy bite

  4. Taking a walk around a few blocks north of where I live I happend upon this terrific new froyo spot that recently opened up here in Yorkville. I give them credit for taking a chance in this space that has been empty for quite a while considering the 2nd Ave subway construction mess is still going on around it. Hope they can survive it.

It's really a nice new spot for froyo and healthy eats. More than pleasant and helpful staff. Bright and clean facility. A small assortment of delicious froyo flavors they'll let you sample. Topping to choose from. Fairly priced.

Also have a make your own salad bar with an assortment of ingredients to put in. They will chop it for you too. I also noticed a small fridge with cold drinks and juices, and they make waffles too!

Forget 16 Handles, as this place is so much closer to my apartment now, and way less crowded. Now I have a new spot to hit for my cookies and cream froyo fix.

  5. I've been here a fair amount of times and I feel like it's a 50/50 chance.  Usually I get frozen yogurt either sweet and tart or chocolate. Apparently every other flavor is not good. Today I decided to try French vanilla yogurt and it was terrible. I am pretty sensitive to not wasting food even if it tastes bad but today was an exception. The yogurt tastes like sugar concoction. Not sure what was going on with the add-ons were; they were low quality to say the least. The cookie dough looked melted and like it was ready to be baked.

Like I said, I usually have a better experience. I have never purchased their smoothies so I can't speak on that side of the menu.

  6. After several visits I've decided to commit to four stars. Go Cups still looks new inside and clean! They have breakfast, sandwiches and salads. The salad toppings are stored in covered containers. They are not left out in the open all day.
The frozen yogurt selection drew me in. I'll be back to try the peanut butter flavor. Salads were fresh. The counter seating provides you with a window view of subway construction! Who would want to miss that while you're eating?
The prices are very reasonable. I might eat three meals a day here.
Highly recommend. Check out my pictures for more info.
