Prior to going to a movie, my girlfriend and I thought we would give this place a try. We had about an hour or so to kill and the theater was right down the road.
The place was packed, good sign. There was one table available and no one was at the bar. We've always wanted to sit at a sushi bar and watch the magic firsthand…so, we were sat there.
Big mistake.
After sitting there for about 15 minutes with no one so much as laying an eye on us my girlfriend called someone over to hand us menus.
The lady she stopped was very apologetic and got us menus and pre-packed warm towelettes ASAP. We thought, alright that's cool.
We looked through the menu and decided we'd order A LOT of sushi. The prices were great and the things that most of the rolls were comprised of sounded amazing.
We closed our menus as a signal that we were ready to order.
10 minutes go by.
No service.
5 minutes go by.
No service.
So, we got up and left.
I don't know why sitting at the bar made us invisible. I don't even know if getting a table would have been any different. But you have to go past us to get to the kitchen and get the food. The sushi chefs were right in front of us. I just don't understand. I always figured your experience at the bar rivaled that of sitting at a table.
No one even noticed us leaving. Some employees weren't even doing anything. I might give this place another shot, but probably not any time soon.
I've never walked out on sushi.
But there was no sushi to be had.
Good food and not too expensive. Their lunch menu is quite filling. I really like their Udon Noodle and beef bent box. Their noodles are so yummy! I have also had their sushi, which is all pretty good. They don't put too much rice, and you can still taste whatever is inside the rolls. I tried their curry chicken dish today, and I thought it was decent. I like my curry with more coconut milk and a little more spice, than the way they make theirs. Even though, it's still not too bad. Overall, got a good meal for 3 people, without breaking the bank! We will return here.
Friendly, delicious, attentive and well priced. A lot of vegetarian options! My friend had regular sushi and she was thrilled too 🙂
