I'm guessing they're newish. Too many Chinese restaurants keep that "Grand Opening" sign up for years after their actual opening, so it's kinda hard to tell. It's bright, it's clean, and it's not boarded up like most Chinese restaurants in the area (I don't go to those places though). The owners looked surprised to see me when I walked in, as if they're not used to having Asian customers. We chatted in our native tongue. I struggled since I'm totally Americanized. They were all up in my business like it wasn't too personal, but I'm kinda used to that from my people, so it didn't bother me much. They admit their food is made for the American palate and not so much for our people. The lady asked her chefs to prepare my dishes with less salt and soy sauce…cuz that's so an American thing. Funny lady. The food was actually really good. I was surprised. Thirsty afterwards though. You know what's up.
